I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! —chaetodipus (talk) 00:20, 5 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you much! I mostly made it through at the start by looking up like every related rule before taking any action, but just yesterday I saw someone else who received a regular welcome in 2023 after ten years of editing, so it's hard to complain about the wait! All things considered, 3.5 years isn't that much of a belated welcome then. There's definitely a lot of guidelines, but I'm glad you've stuck through it all. :) Happy editing, —chaetodipus (talk) 07:31, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Nerdwizard edit

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as User:Nerdwizard, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. hoaxes LMAO Nerdwizard (talk) 05:35, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
See WP:FAKEARTICLE. Editors aren't allowed to turn their user pages into mock Wikipedia articles which egregiously present false information. The "blinding stew" you had posted a neutral description of with a supposed photograph alongside does not exist. Belbury (talk) 08:00, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics edit

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Also, if you make personal attacks again you will be sanctioned. Referring to other editors as propagandists is not acceptable. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:50, 13 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
lol but dozens if not hundreds of poorly-sourced edits and new pages blatantly serving to downplay atrocities against palestinians and rehabilitate israel's image in the wake of such are perfectly fine! cooked website Nerdwizard (talk) 00:11, 14 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
