Peter Singer - Sentientist update
Hi - Peter refined the term sentientism in the 1970's and still identifies that way today (confirmed in private correspondence). I included a link to the Sentientism page so readers can find out more - but can happily include a short summary in the sentence itself if that helps? - Hey JamieWoodhouse: a short explanation would definitely help. The source you provided previously seemed like it was good enough to say that "Singer has been described as a sentientist", but I didn't see it as supporting the claim that he himself identifies as one. If you want to say that Singer identifies as a sentienist, you will need to find a reliable secondary source for that claim, a private correspondence probably doesn't work for that. Alternatively, if the claim is well supported by a multiple reliable sources, it would probably be okay to just state that "Singer is a sentientist". Nblund talk 17:11, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
