There may be too many small sections; for example, I think 'diet choices' should go under the 'nutrition' tab

Maybe speak more about different cultures that use almond milk besides for just Persians, if there are any

Speak about the fortification of almond milk

This is definitely a good starting point and I like how you cover numerous facets of almond milk and why people drink it. There is definitely a lot you can do in terms of organization with the topic. Where I think you can improve this is in narrowing down the topics and possibly combining some to allow for more information per section. Too many small sections can be overwhelming for the reader as it might seem as if the topic has too many parts and should be split up. If you condense the amount of topics and broaden the information on each topic, this will allow for a smoother flow. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JaredWeiss (talkcontribs) 18:15, 12 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Great Idea for Historical Background

edit

Covering Almond Milk in a historical context is a great idea. Here are some suggestions for lenghthening your article--

since almond milk is such a huge topic, you could narrow down to almond milk in any specific historical period or cuisine:

maybe include how essential it was to Catholic Cuisine–Catholics could drink almond milk on days of fast but not dairy milk, thus very important in Middle Ages & medieval cuisine.

the fact about blancmange is interesting, so could make a section devoted to history of almond milk in blancmange and it's implications for social things going on at the time.

definitely do some fact checking, the first historical record of Almond milk was in 13th century

Also adding more sources to new info will make it more credible. LilyVogt (talk) 04:54, 16 November 2017 (UTC)LilyVogtReply

I would definitely make sure to include a section on sustainability in your final article! Almonds touch on everything: water, ecosystems, bees, etc. It's a huge topic in the food world right now, so I'd recommend giving it some light.

I'd make sure you find some research-based sources. It looks like the ones you have right now are mostly from websites. It's fine to include a few of those, but back your writing up with credible research! Try going on JSTOR or Googling some scholarly articles about almond milk.

Make sure that, in your final draft, you devote a good amount of time to the history of almond milk. It's not just a recent fad -- it's been around for centuries! Emphasize this and elaborate on how certain cultures used almond milk in their cuisine (i.e. the Islamic Empire). — Preceding unsigned comment added by YesToYummy (talkcontribs) 21:28, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
