NWT article edit

Please do not add unsourced comments. You cannot refer to yourself as a source. Please see WP:OR.--Jeffro77 (talk) 00:18, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

While your statement in the article might be correct, it is not relevant under 'Features of the translation' (which deals with presentation, not the quality of the translated text). Even if moved to the correct section, the notability of this specific (mis)translation (in comparison to other disputed renderings in the NWT) needs to be established to warrant inclusion in the article. There is no need to add an entire paragraph for each word that the NWT translates in a non-standard manner.--Jeffro77 (talk) 00:48, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have already explained this to you, but I will clarify, since it appears you do not understand. You need a source to establish the notability of this particular (mis)translation. And DO NOT place unencyclopedic comments in the text of articles! Such comments belong in Talk or User Talk pages. If you do so again, you will be reported.--Jeffro77 (talk) 11:46, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, your addition has been removed a few times which means you need to discuss this at "Talk:New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures" whenever you have time. It is has not been due to sectarianism that your addition was removed - you need to accompany your paragraph with secondary or tertiary sources, in order to demonstrate that your paragraph is not only factual, but also important. i.e. you need to establish by way of providing academic citations that the Greek words "aion" and "aionios" are mistranslated in the NWT. If you have a list of related journal citations available, please mention them here and I will obtain the articles and help you out. John Vandenberg (chat) 21:01, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

November 2008 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. JodyB talk 22:21, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
