Stephen Appiah edit

Yes, I see what is happening ... and am documenting it. Yes, don't be involved in an edit war. Take a rest from the page while this is sorted out. NOTE: To sign your name to a comment use ~~~~ -- Proofreader77 (talk) 19:12, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Okay edit

Will do - apologies if previous edits contravened usage poilcy - I'm very new to editing on Wiki and was not intentionally being unconstructive.

Please be aware the user in question has also removed warnings for vandalism (including a final warning from 'John') from his talk page. It seems this guy only 'contributes' to wiki to add erroneous information intended to wind up users attempting to add valid biographical information or to leave abusive messages in talk pages.

Thanks for your attention in this matter.≥±≥±

NOTE: You can always correct mess on your own talk page (3RR does not apply). REMINDER: Don't forget to sign your comments with four tildes ~~~~ :) -- Proofreader77 (talk) 19:42, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

81.102.233.188 has been blocked edit

FYI, the ip has been blocked for one week. Proofreader77 (talk) 20:18, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Saw that - thanks for asking the admin to do that - why only for a week though - he has had 1st, 2nd and final warnings before for vandalism. Surely an open-ended block would be appropriate - unfortunately he's deleted the warning from his talk page so at a quick glance an admin wouldn't know the guy's history.≈≈≈≈
You're welcome. re: length of block -- For technical reasons blocking an ip for extended periods can have "collateral" damage that outweighs the importance of blocking a single bad actor. (Innocent people may be blocked.) re: erasing warnings -- Administrators were informed of the erasing(s) of the warnings. Proofreader77 (talk) 20:38, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

January 2009 edit

Please refrain from attacking other contributors, as you did with this edit to User talk:92.4.155.60. Continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Thank you. لennavecia 15:26, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

That IP was my own talk page before I registered and set up a username yesterday - I was simply removing an abusive contribution someone left on there and my own response to it - surely I'm entitled to edit my own talk page freely? Nagarjuna1980 18:48, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
