Statistics in Colombia article

edit

Hi Nadya, and thanks for your contributions. I noticed that it looks like you may have misinterpreted DOL statistics in at least one article -- see here. I wanted to point this out in case this error appears in other articles you have edited. I'm also a little wary of your use of items on the Overview of Children's Work by Sector and Activity where the items are marked with asterisks indicating "*Evidence of this activity is limited and/or the extent of the problem is unknown." -- e.g. "Recruitment, sometimes through force, of children into illegal non-state armed groups to grow coca; perform intelligence and logistical activities; store and transport weapons, explosives, and chemical precursors to process narcotics; and participate in armed conflict*" in Colombia. Further thoughts? Do you know how the government determines which items to put on the list when evidence is limited? Calliopejen1 (talk) 00:49, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Calliopejen1 Thank you for your comment. I will make sure to take your advice into consideration! --Nadya Inoubli (talk) 15:35, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Steel industry in Bangladesh

edit

The content about child labor practices is not specific to the steel industry but the overall industrial sector of Bangladesh, so it's irrelevant in that article. You should add it to Child labour in Bangladesh. Thank you. Akib.H (talk) 12:27, 14 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
