@Hoary: Thank you for the fast review and pointers to improve the draft. Sorry I'm not sure where I should post replies (here or Teahouse? Intro text at top of User_talk:Hoary says I should post here, but the message above seems to recommend posting there) and if the reply format is correct. The most complete biography of Victor Guidalevitch is on https://guidalevitch.art/en/biography/ I've read the guidelines about reliable sources and I'm not sure if the website would be considered reliable. The scanned documents provide proof of residence in Belgium from 1911, date of birth, name of wife, registration in the Jewish registry, name of parents, request for Belgian nationality, ... (some of the information is in French and in Dutch). If the list of exhibitions and publishings from 1932 up to 2015 coming from Guidalevitch.art isn't considered reliable, I can delete them. Thanks again for your help.

That's odd: Even though you took the trouble to ping me, I never received the ping. Sorry to notice this and to reply so late. I think this will be OK; because even if the main aim of guidalevitch.art is -- if I may be cynical for a moment -- to stimulate an interest in VG's work (and thus boost its sale prices), then it's not at all easy to see how this aim would be helped by faking or falsifying material such as this. Let's just try to avoid depending on guidalevitch.art for claims about the man's successes, or for appreciative (or other) comments by others on his work. Anyway, congratulations on having got the draft into publishable form; I hope that more material about VG will soon turn up. -- Hoary (talk) 04:05, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm glad if I was of help. I get the impression that Belgians are relatively interested in photography and I've seen or heard of several anthologies of this or that aspect/ingredient of Belgian photography. If there's ever a book on Belgian modernist photography (or similar), perhaps Guidalevitch will be there. Hope so! -- Hoary (talk) 11:26, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
