Direct flights edit

The only direct flights we list are international services with no plane change. For example, the kangaroo route or BA's IAH-ORD-LHR service. FCYTravis 20:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey NW036- you should probably bring the "discontinued service discussion" at the discussion page for WP:Airports...I think color="blue">23 22:47, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Anonymous user 66.38.164.40 has reportedly vandalized my userpage by flipping the Likes and Dislikes sections with the intent of inversion of my opinion. That has angered me. Pittsburgh International Airport edit

It looks like you have put much work into Pittsburgh International Airport and in my opinion it meets B-class article criteria. After the Review is complete I would nominate it for a GA-class article. If you have any questions visit my Talk Page. Marcusmax 23:20, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Former routes edit

Hey NW036 - I notice that you mentioned some airport talk pages that say Former Routes has been decided to not be useful - I searched, but can't find those discussions. I'd like to remove former routes from the San Francisco International Airport article, and would like those discussions as justification. Thanks! (You can reply on this page, it'll be on my watchlist) --Matt 15:50, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks! I appreciate the links. --Matt 23:03, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
By the way, there's another discussion about it at Talk:San Francisco International Airport#Former routes removed, so I invite you to give your opinion there too. Thanks --Matt 11:58, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for actually removing many of the sections - I was in flight when consensus was reached! --Matt 04:49, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

RDU Previous airline/destination removal edit

You stated that according to WP:airports, the huge amount of information that I collected about Previous Airlines and their destinations were removed. I looked over WP:Airports and I saw no discussion over that information and I saw nothing remotely close saying not to include it. So, could you either:

1. show me exactly where it was discussed not to include such information 2. please undo your delete 3. add the information as a new page that list "Previous airlines and destinations" because I believe that information is important to the airport as a part of it's history.

Kacey 11:24, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Okay, I found it once I posted the article. The fact is all the information from the RDU page is thoroughly searchable on the internet and can be found there (as, in fact, this is where I found the information). I would like to suggest option 3 above as in fact some people do find this information useful. It's important to know where service once was served as a point of reference.

Kacey 11:28, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Previous Service edit

Hey NW036- in regards to the removal of previous service at the SAN page, I for some reason like how it fits into the article. As there is a "current service", "future service", and "previous service". I do agree with you that it is very lengthy and sloopy so I would suggest maybe a cleanup of the section. Also, the previous airlines section in that article also has an explanitory paragraph in the beginning rather than just simply listing all of the previous carriers. I don't know. I'm indifferent to the section on that page...If you need anything else I'm here Sox23 21:54, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bwe.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Bwe.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:52, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Northwest Airlines Fleet Table edit

We are not listing codes. I have discussed this before. I've been editing the Northwest Airlines page for a while now. This is not the official Northwest Airlines page so there is absolutely no reason to list ANY codes. A normal reader wouldn't understand what those codes mean so don't list them.--Golich17 17:20, 25 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I support your edit, NW036, and reverted the edit by Golich17. This edit you made, as well as my revert, has now been reverted once again by this user. Perhaps you would care to add your comments on the talk page for NW. I am not aware of any consensus having been reached about not using the full aircraft model numbers.
The aircraft type is of encyclopedic interest; it is not a obscure code which few understand. It is in fact the actual aircraft model.
Adding this information does not take up any more space or require any more effort to analyze. For instance, if you don't care that the NW B747-451 was built for NW, you can just ignore the -451 and consider it a generic -400. This information is useful when seeing which aircraft have migrated to other airlines at later points in their history.
Remember that Wikipedia is not limited to information which is of interest only to a "normal reader." Wikipedia also includes information of use to those who have greater knowledge of the subject. If you are in doubt of concept, refer to articles in the area of science, technology and medicine. Plenty of this information is written to higher standard than a "normal" reader would require. Fair use rationale for Image:AIRMALL logo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:AIRMALL logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 20:39, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

PHL-CDG edit

Where are you guys getting that AF is ending their PHl-CDG and DL will be taking over? I went to Delta's website and the only nonstop flight from PHL-CDG is operated by Air France after March 31. I have also searched for PHL-CDG operated by Delta and still has the flights operated by AF after April 1. Cashier freak (talk) 04:41, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also, AF 365/366 (PHL-CDG and CDG-PHL) is still operating on March 31 per AF's website. It is still bookable on their website. Thanks! Cashier freak (talk) 04:52, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

DL/NWA PIT edit

Hi NW036, Now that Delta and NWA have combined operations at PIT, should NWA still be listed as a seperate carrier there (It now operates from gate D82 and D84) or should it be lsited under DL? One IP merged the destinations together and making NWA no longer existant at PIT. Please correct my edit if necessary. Cheers! Cashier freak (talk) 00:26, 11 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Since you're listed as a Wikipedian in Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. I hope to see you there!--ragesoss (talk) 15:23, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
