Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Mobile file management with this edit do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Trusilver 18:24, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Your edits show an obvious conflict of interest. All of them seem done for the sole purpose of promoting a company. Any further attempt to use Wikipedia as a medium for promotion will result in your editing privileges being revoked. Trusilver 18:41, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to File sharing with this edit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Trusilver 18:46, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Trusilver 18:53, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest policy and notability guidelines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=I was simply adding information that relates to Accellion, which is a file sharing company. I would appreciate your help in making useful edits that can be cited.}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Versageek 19:06, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

31 hours of blocking me from Wikipedia has passed and I still don't have access to make my 2 edits - which I am more than entitled to based on the stipulated guidelines. I'm not sure what 31 hours you were referring to but it has passed!

I still do not understand how adding the name Accellion is spam. The list of collaborative software has 50 names on the list. How is that not spam and how is adding Accellion spam.

Adding it to the List of collaborative software and Comparison of file hosting services isn't a problem, especially since the company has an existing Wikipedia article. Adding it to all those other articles as another "example" is the problem. When names of "example" companies actually contribute substance in an article (often, they don't), they should be limited to one or two of the most well known. I will concede that many articles contain either lists or "See Also" sections with far too many company names, but this is because people such as yourself add them thinking it's ok to do so. I think you can understand how these sort of additions might spiral out of control if we don't watch them carefully and intervene when we see company names being added to multiple articles. --Versageek 00:29, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I can understand that you don't want people adding "examples" but it seems rather arbitrary that you're penalizing us when other companies are listed as "examples. Am I going to have an issue adding our company name to the List of Collaborative software and Comparison of file hosting services? I will leave it to those two pages for now.

Please see WP:COI. Your editing history shows that you are here for no other reason than to add your company's name to as many articles as possible. Wikipedia is not a medium for promoting an organization. The very fact that you said "our company name" proves that conflict of interest exists and I suggest you refrain from editing articles in which that bias could become a further issue. When is my block ending? I would like to add my company name on the list of file sharing companies. According to Versageek that is not an issue.

Your block has been over for about a day and a half. You are free to edit whenever you want, provided you are keeping to the rules. Trusilver 00:49, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
