  Hello, I'm Ebyabe. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Elsa Peretti seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Ebyabe talk - Union of Opposites10:14, 1 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

 Dear Ebabybe, My intention in this article is to provide facts for the Wikipedia community at large. I there are parts that seem less than neutral to you, you are welcome to apply any changes to Elsa Peretti that are reasonable in order to make this article adhere to Wikimedia standards. --NPF-webmaster (talk) 09:40, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, NPF-webmaster. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Elsa Peretti, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 10:44, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello Checkingfax thank you for your comments. Regarding the COI issue, I have discussed the matter on my user page, on Elsa Peretti's talk page, and on other pages, as well as emails with a couple of WP admins. I clearly informed everyone on who I was when I signed up to WP. Please read my user page. I am well aware of the COI issue. The point is that the article needed to be expanded and improved. I truly hope we can get over this COI issue asap and start working on the article. If you read the article now, you will see that it has been heavily edited and the alert tag issues have been addressed. Please let me know if you'd like to email me on this, thanks.NPF-webmaster (talk) 11:04, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi NPF-webmaster. The first order of business may be to have your username transferred to a new username.

  Ok Checkingfax but do you mean moving my user page or changing my username? NPF-webmaster (talk) 14:47, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

I would also suggest you put this
{{Connected contributor (paid)}}
template on the Talk page of Peretti's article with a link back to a declaration on your User page or on your Talk page. Click on the template link here to get a rundown on the parameters needed to fuly fill out the template. Copy the whole template on to the article Talk page including the four curly braces, but do NOT include the tlx or brk portions if you view the template example above in edit-source mode. Cheers! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 11:28, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Elsa Peretti does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 10:05, 4 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Elsa Peretti. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
