"Train Station" vs. "Railway Station"

Can you start by telling me why you feel it is wrong? You might also start by reading the fairly lengthy discussion on this subject here. If you wanted to make the change you would need to get a consensus to do so on the Train station talk page. Once you had that, you'd need an admin's assistance to make the change. I think you may be confusing "British English grammar" with "correct grammar". The term "train station" is an American English one and quite appropriate. The term "railway station" appears to be loosing ground even in the UK. The idea that one or the other is somehow more correct doesn't hold water, I'm afraid. They are both grammatically correct and acceptable usage, as the article acknowledges. Wikipedia is an international encyclopedia and needs to reflect both American and British usage. There is no particular reason to prefer one over the other - switching them would be just as good and/or just as bad as the current usage. You're welcome to discuss this further on the Train Station talk page, but I think you're unlikely to generate a consensus for a change, particularly as this has been discussed many times before.
