Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! February 2013 edit

Hello, I'm Dougweller. I noticed that you recently removed some content from K. A. Paul  because you thought it was incorrect. Much of this seems to have been well sourced. Because of the problems you created , I've restored the earlier version. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! You are making a mess of this article. You are breaking references, removing well sourced material presumably because you think it is wrong, and adding unsourced material. Please discuss your problems with this article on the talk page. Dougweller (talk) 21:41, 25 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at K. A. Paul‎ shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. K.A. Paul edit

Please read WP:BLP and WP:VERIFY. I've attributed the US citizenship claim to The Telegraph, Calcutta - you can't claim that he isn't a citizen without a reliable source (see WP:RS. I've removed the bit about the hospital as I think we would need better sources and we would need to know what happened after he was admitted, if he was admitted. I restored the statement about the airplane which was adequately sourced and which I have no reason to think was incorrect, which is what you claimed. You can't state that Paul stopped the Qu'arn burning with a reliable source. Dougweller (talk) 10:20, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your post to my talk page edit

Hi - I've copied that to the appropriate noticeboard where we discuss biographies of living people, see WP:BLPN#K.A.Paul - request from Paul's assistant. Also read WP:BLP which is our policy about such biographies. We are pretty strict about BLPs and I've tried to edit it to meet some of your concerns, but I couldn't find a way to meet all of them. You also need to read WP:COI as you are the assistant to the subject of the article. The bit about a flying death trap has a source and I couldn't find one denying it, nor can I find a source saying he's a permanent resident rather than a citizen. Or a source saying he was responsible for preventing the book burning. We need sources for all of this, and they need to meet our criteria at WP:RS and WP:BLPN.

As for your charges against me, yes, I'm a Wikipedia editor. So are you, we are both editors, there are no 'own editors'. I simply have a lot more experience than you do. Unlike you, I'm not paid for anything I do on Wikipedia (or anywhere as I'm retired). I don't have a boss telling me how to edit, although I assume Paul does tell you what he wants done. I'm not accusing you of anything, I think you are trying to do the best you can but don't understand how Wikipedia works.

After you've read the links above, please comment on the discussion at the noticeboard - that way others get a chance to see it and respond. It would be nice if you withdrew your accusations of course, but you don't have to. It would however help you gain more respect from other editors (and I repeat, you are an editor just as much as I or any other editors editing Paul's article.). Ah, I didn't come here and check first. I've left you (NCJM), some additional info on Dougweller's talk page. Qwyrxian (talk) 15:36, 1 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
