Edits at Republic of China edit

Please read the manual of style concerning abbreviations. Period forms, like "R.O.C." are not preferable. This is something that is not open to discussion or compromise. --HXL's Roundtable and Record 22:59, 5 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Eng Bee Tin Chinese Deli edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Eng Bee Tin Chinese Deli, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 05:16, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Edits at Aramaic of Jesus edit

Please refrain from switching the script on articles such as Aramaic of Jesus. Syriac was not utilized by Jesus or his followers, and the standard Aramaic notation was fine as it is. אמר Steve Caruso 20:52, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

BLP edit

Please read WP:BLPPRIMARY, particularly: "Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, home value, traffic citations, vehicle registrations, and home or business addresses." Digging for personal information via public records is original research and a violation of WP:BLPPRIVACY. Personal details for a subject should be obtained from reliable secondary or tertiary sources instead. If such information is not published in reliable secondary or tertiary sources, then it should not be included in the article. Bennv3771 (talk) 02:15, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Bennv3771 Thanks for the input. I found pro- & anti- sources reputable in the Philippines. I'll replace, then. N192 (talk) 03:43, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

No intent to vandalize.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. You forgot to tell us your IP address so we can't investigate your claim. You can find this using WhatIsMyIP. If you don't wish to provide this publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to provide the IP address privately. Yamla (talk) 19:31, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Apparently, 「There are multiple blocks against your account and/or IP address 」. Could I ask for what: What cases, specifically triggered this? What went wrong? If there is something I'm doing wrong, that would be good to know. I only want to help keep Wikipedia ever-improving. Yes, there are things I don't understand (like how the Baybayin is added to Wiktionary's Tagalog-entries, so I'm leaving that alone now, to let the experts include it). But, hopefully, that's not the grounds for my blocking, right? N192 (talk) 19:29, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Most likely, you are using a proxy or a VPN. You need to disable that and wait a full 24 hours for the block to clear. There's no direct block on this account. --Yamla (talk) 19:31, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I use V.P.N., but I always de-activate it before editing (since it's always blocked), and I almost always login before editing, so it's documented as my changes. N192 (talk) 19:36, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, it's my I.P. address: 192.145.117.156 from Google Fiber. N192 (talk) 19:37, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
That IP address is used by NordVPN. Again, once you deactivate your VPN, you need to wait a full 24 hours for the block to clear. --Yamla (talk) 19:41, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
😳 Oops… I forgot to turn it off! (facepalm) Okay. That solves the issue. It seems I can edit now. Sorry for the hassle! N192 (talk) 19:45, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
And thanks for that! I got scared, thinking I was banned now. N192 (talk) 19:48, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
