Proposed deletion of Simon Merrells

The article Simon Merrells has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Speedy deletion nomination of Publipor (rebel slave)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Publipor (rebel slave) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. - Vivvt (Talk) 20:05, 7 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Simon Merrells

edit

The article Simon Merrells has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Third Servile War - and others

edit

I have left your edits in place, but have tagged them as needing citation. Since you claim they are based on Strauss's work, this shouldn't be a problem for you. I see from the entry above, that you're having this problem several other places on Wikipedia. Anyone is free - even welcome - to add to Wikipedia. It wouldn't be here without people willing to edit it - so your willingness to help is appreciated. However, claims of fact do need to be referenced to accepted published research, or they are susceptible to being removed.

Trust me, I know it's not easy; it took me 6 months of research to get the Third Servile War article written up to Featured Article status.

If you can reference your additions, they won't be removed - although their inclusion might be reworked into the article as people edit and refine articles.

I look forward to your citations.

Welcome aboard! - Vedexent (talk) - 04:00, 16 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Hercules 3D (2014 film)

edit

Hello, Mythoingramus. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Hercules 3D (2014 film), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ochiwar (talk) 11:00, 20 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have looked at the references of Simon Merrells' brother Jason Merrells, and I have found that they both starred in a play named A Comedy of Errors. I would like to add this reference to the Simon Merrells page, but I have no idea how to add a reference link.

Saved, but please pay attention to sourcing!

edit

I have added sources to Simon Merrells. That was twice (in January and May) that you tried and failed to properly write that article. Please use reliable sources to provide evidence for what you write about living people. All biographies of living people must have reliable sources or they will be soon deleted - no questions asked. If you want to effectively contribute to Wikipedia, please start using sources when writing articles. Fences&Windows 20:08, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Read this beginner's guide to referencing: Help:Referencing for beginners. Also, make use of the Reftoolbar. Fences&Windows 20:12, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
If in doubt, just paste the links to the references on the talk page! That will be better than nothing. Fences&Windows 20:13, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

How do I add pictures to wikipedia pages?

Neutral point of view

edit

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. 217.158.67.85 (talk) 10:20, 23 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
