Removing Tags

edit

Please do not remove tags from articles unless you actually address the issues in the tags. This can be considered vandalism if you do it frequently. I urge you to read the tags, follow the links provided and attempt to fix the errors.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 09:48, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed the external link in the Cloud Mystery's director's name because it is already listed in the external links. Placing an external link in context in that fashion goes again the wikipedia manual of style and is generally frowned upon. A red link implies there is no wiki article for that individual and may prompt an editor to create one.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 10:26, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks - appreciate the input!

no worries.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 10:34, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Skarin

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Skarin, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. greatgamemusic.com

edit

I've removed your advertisements for greatgamemusic.com. Whether in prose form or external links, we don't advertise. Wyatt Riot (talk) 18:47, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Wyat, thanks for the information. While I agree that links to two articles on the same site may be too much, they do offer up legitimate and useful information on how game developers are getting music in their games today, in my opinion. From what I can see in the wiki, it doesn't explain how this is done today. With that in mind, I kindly ask you to reconsider.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mystp (talkcontribs) 14:07, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

You shouldn't find this information because Wikipedia isn't an instructional manual or guidebook. We also don't allow self-published sources such as blogs as references. Simply put, we're building an encyclopedia based on reliable sources. Information about finding music or making music or even building a house are outside the scope of what we're here to do. :) I hope this helps. Cheers!
