September 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Ashley Benson, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --IJBall (contribstalk) 12:23, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • The notice IJBall left above is also applicable to your edits at Sasha Pieterse ([1])([2]). The first was removal of content that you didn't explain (those appeared to be legitimate and notable awards); please use edit summaries to explain these edits (you can enter these edit summaries in the box right below where you're editing the content of the article). The second involved your rearranging the table to combine rows with the same information via "rowspan". The rowspan use can cause screen readers, which visually impaired readers may use, to incorrectly convey the content in the table (generally speaking out the text in the wrong order), and thus violates MOS:ACCESSIBILITY. Also, one of the TV series you were linking, Family Affair, has more than one version that aired; you've been linking to the original, which goes back to the 1960s, more than three decades before Pieterse was born. She starred in the remake. The "link" button above the content you're editing, fourth from the left (to the right of the bold and italics buttons), can help with making the link to the correct article. MPFitz1968 (talk) 14:45, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
You are continuing with this after you've been warned about incorrect use of 'rowspan' – if you continue I will simply start reverting your edits, regardless. --IJBall (contribstalk) 17:54, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

November 2021 edit

Hello, I'm DarkGlow. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Ruth Gemmell have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. – DarkGlow • 19:56, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Ruth Gemmell. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. – DarkGlow • 20:33, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
