Djurgårdens IF Fotboll edit

Hi! I disagree with your choice to move Djurgårdens IF Fotboll to Djurgårdens IF (football team). Firstly, "Fotboll" is indeed included in the name of the club as can clearly be seen on the club's website. Also, I don't understand why you didn't bring this up for discussion first, either at the talk page of the article or at WP:FOOTBALL? Naming conventions for football teams clearly shows that the title of this article should be "Djurgårdens IF Fotboll". I would like to see the title reverted back to the old version but I think it would be a good idea to discuss it first. --Reckless182 (talk) 11:42, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I see that you've done the same mistake for IFK Malmö, Fotboll is also included here. You really need to bring these things up for discussion before as moving pages is a big deal and hard to revert.--Reckless182 (talk) 11:47, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

No worries! I'm glad that you agree with me about Djurgården, will you move the page again or should I? For IFK Malmö, The Swedish Football Association refers to the club as IFK Malmö FK. "FK" stands for "Fotbollsklub" which means Football club in Swedish. I think the name of the article should be IFK Malmö Fotboll, like Djurgården and also AIK Fotboll for example, otherwise we could name it "IFK Malmö FK" but I tink "IFK Malmö Fotboll" is better since it is the most common used soloution. What do you think? --Reckless182 (talk) 12:48, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I also forgot to say that you were correct in seperating the pages for IFK Malmö, I just don't agree with the title of the article about the football section of IFK Malmö.--Reckless182 (talk) 12:51, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Alright, good! I will move the articles. I have no problems understanding your English but you need to work a little bit on your grammar ;) Thank you for a good and helpful discussion! --Reckless182 (talk) 13:01, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

December 2012 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give HIFK a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you.
