Regarding the edit warring at WMBQ-CD

Hello! I see that you have been monitoring the slow-motion edit war at this article and recently filed a report at the EW noticeboard. I didn't notice that report, but I did see your request at WP:RFP and responded by imposing a year-long lock of the page. I don't actually intend for it to last a year, but just long enough to force them to talk and/or find sources, and work it out, at which point I will unlock it. If you want to continue to monitor the page and let me know if there is anything I need to do, I would appreciate it. -- MelanieN (talk) 22:15, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

KWWT

Exactly why did you revert KWWT? I provided a reference verifying the information, and I live in Odessa. If you visit any TV schedule website you'll notice that KWWT is now MyTV, as listed, but they've changed it to MyTV 30 because KWWT's signal is Channel 30. They also needed to change is because CW actually airs on the Channel 16 frequency now. They're also using a new logo that lists it as My 30.

Additionally all stations can only have 4 digital feeds, so 30.5 isn't a KWWT feed. If you visit the Cozi site you'll notice they list the Odessa/Midland Cozi on KMDF, which clearly indicates the KMDF frequency has been moved from 22 to 30.5-30.8.

So none of what I changed was vandalism. In fact your reversion is actual vandalism because you failed to check any of the information out. Bigddan11 (talk) 03:39, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

@Bigddan11: If there are changes, they're not reflected on RabbitEars, which I go by. They say the KMDF channels are on 22, not 30 – two separate stations on two separate frequencies. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 03:44, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Rabbit Ears is a bit out of date. However if you want to get specific, look at KOSA itself. KOSA is on 7.1-7.4. They then have KTLE, which is frequency channel 20, on 7.5-7.7. This is no different. KWWT is 30.1-30.4. KMDF may be frequency channel 22, but digitally it is 30.5-30.8, though currently they only have Cozi up on 30.5. That's where Rabbit Ears has always been a failure. Bigddan11, Could you tell that to Trip? He runs RabbitEars. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 04:38, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
Mvcg66b3r I'd tell it to whomever I'd need to, though personally I don't know Trip. Here's the thing. The change of KWWT to MyTV took place last week. The branding changing MyTV from MyTV 16 to MyTV 30, or more specifically My30 as they dropped the TV part of it all together, took place last week, even though it should have taken place when they moved CW to that frequency last year. I found out about it because Zap2it began listing MyTV on Channel 30 last week and because last night during the high school football game (Midland High at Permian both at Halftime and during the postgame) they announced that next Friday they'd have Midland Lee vs. Midland High on KWWT, My 30. I then watched the station for 4 hours this morning and saw they have a new logo in place whenever they do a station identification, usually at the top of the hour. All these things took place last week, and they aren't noted anywhere yet except on the local television frequencies. Bigddan11 (talk) 04:50, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Bigddan11: I updated the branding, but Csworldwide1 reverted the edits, saying "there's no proof they'd change its branding." Mvcg66b3r (talk) 04:57, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Mvcg66b3r: There isn't a press release or any articles from KOSA mentioning the branding change to "MyTV 30" or "My 30". If there was an article about/promoting that high school football game and it mentions the branding, or if there's a picture of the new logo in question, either from KOSA website or social media platforms, that would be proof. @Mvcg66b3r: I will try and take a picture of the new station logo sometime tomorrow as additional verification, or I could try and do video. I worry it'd be too blurry if I did video. I wish they'd publish all the updates on their CBS 7 site, but sadly they don't. I was quite shocked when I found out about them. Bigddan11 (talk) 05:25, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Mvcg66b3r: Here's one of the commercial promos that clearly shows they are classifying it as KWWT My30 now. https://i.imgur.com/SBKYFX2.jpg Bigddan11 (talk) 14:03, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
