Spshu

It's best to just ignore Spshu. He likes to do things his way, thinking it's the "manual of style" (when its really not), disregards other editors suggestions, and thinks he runs the site. Just revert his edits to the station article (be sure not to go over the 3 revert rule though), and if he breaks 3RR like he always does, report him. HurricaneGeek2002 (talk) 22:29, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

I agree with that assessment, except I have given up on dealing with him, & so a template I wish to fix remains incorrect because I don’t want to deal with his drama & tantrums. It kills me, but I’ve left it alone. Stereorock (talk) 11:16, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

KVDO-TV

After analyzing the sources in more depth, what I've actually found is that instead of having its own article, KVDO-TV should actually be handled as a section within the overall history of KIII (the still-existing station which was launched after KVDO's owners scored a VHF license to compensate for KVDO's failure on UHF) rather than as a standalone topic of its own. I've revised my vote in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KVDO-TV accordingly, from "keep" to "redirect", and have already fully integrated the KVDO content into the KIII article. In light of this, would you be willing to consider withdrawing the deletion nomination so that we can just jump straight to a redirect? Bearcat (talk) 00:27, 3 September 2019 (UTC)

RE: KYW-TV Reversion

Information icon Hello, I'm Mvcg66b3r. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to KYW-TV seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 23:06, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

I think you made a mistake. Maybe (*maybe*) some part of what I wrote is not totally neutral (I don't know which part), but most of it is pure fact. There is a repack, it is a result of the spectrum auction, as a result of it, KYW-TV had to move from real channel 26 to real channel 30, they did that on or about August 2, 2019, they are currently operating on reduced power. Those are all facts that should be covered in the article and are not. And there should be an article on the repack on Wikipedia.

The things that may be, well, something but not less than neutral may include he fact that I can't receive them since the change is a fact that can be demonstrated in a number of ways, including by looking at sites like rabbitears.info (sp) which shows the extremely low power in my area, much less than it was before the changeover.

Sites like rabbitears.info have a notation that says KYW-TV is operating on reduced power, but I have found no information to explain the exact reason (but other stations have had to operate with temporary transmitters, antennas, and towers after their changeover until permanent facilities could be put in place.

Station management has not returned any of my emails or phone calls that I've placed since August 2.

To summarize, everything I've said is factual, it it all appropriate to be covered in Wikipedia, and I think the language is pretty neutral.

Please restore my edits. If you feel the need to attempt to make the language more neutral, please do so.

If you absolutely refuse to restore my edits, please email me the text that you deleted -- I put some effort into that and don't want it to be lost. Rhkramer (talk) 23:58, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

@Rhkramer: How do I email you? And anyway, the deleted text is archived in the page history. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 00:02, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

Why do you want to email me? You managed to contact me yesterday on my user page. You have done nothing to explain what is not neutral about what I wrote. I updated my note on the talk page, and, within a few hours I will, I guess the phrase is "revert your reversion" on the KYW-TV page. Let me ask two questions: Which article in Wikipedia discusses the repack (or whatever else it may be called)? Which Wikipedia article discusses the specific impact of the repack on KYW-TV -- isn't that an appropriate topic for the KYW-TV page? Further, what language is not neutral POV, and why not delete (if you really have to) or reword that particular sentence(s) instead of deleting the entire section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rhkramer (talkcontribs) 21:55, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

Rhkramer, Mrschimpf readded details about the repack, but from a neutral point of view. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 22:09, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

I am not happy with what has gone on here. I'm glad there is finally some mention of the repack, but I do not believe that anything I wrote about the repack was not neutral. Maybe a little long winded, and speculative, but the speculative is because I couldn't find answers. (Aside: Let me ask you this -- did Mrschimpf actually get positive answers or just make the same assumptions I did.) You have not made a friend. Rhkramer (talk) 23:37, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Why reverting an edit on WXBU

Split to KCLO-TV

Can you make another article titled KCLO-TV? (removing redirect to KELO-TV) I am tired of waiting for it. CentralTime301 (talk) 23:24, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

CentralTime301, That's up to whoever wants to make the article. I put out a request here: [1] Mvcg66b3r (talk) 23:42, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

Here's what the main saying of KCLO-TV would look like:

KCLO-TV, virtual channel 15 (UHF digital channel 16), is a dual CBS/CW+-affiliated television station licensed to Rapid City, South Dakota, United States. The station is owned by Nexstar Media Group. KCLO-TV's news bureau and advertising sales office are located on Canyon Lake Drive in Rapid City, and its transmitter is located on Skyline Drive near downtown.[1]

Although identifying as a separate station in its own right, KCLO is considered a semi-satellite of sister station KELO-TV (channel 11) in Sioux Falls. KCLO's master control, as well as some internal operations, are housed at KELO's studios on Phillips Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls. KCLO clears all network programming as provided through its parent, simulcasts most of KELO's newscasts (with local weather inserts) and airs most of its syndicated programming (though in some cases at different times). There are also some programs that only air on KCLO while some are only seen on KELO. KCLO also airs separate station identifications and commercial inserts. Although KCLO and KELO are based in different locations and technically serve separate markets, the two essentially operate as one station. With their combined resources, the stations provide statewide coverage not offered by any other outlet in South Dakota. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CentralTime301 (talkcontribs) 02:37, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

UPDATE: I designed it in August 23, 2019. CentralTime301 (talk) 13:33, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

KTTV edit war

Hi Mvcg66b3r, while I believe you are correct in reverting Theteeveeman's edits, you are in violation of the three-revert rule and I suggest you stop reverting his edit until admins deal with the issue. Hintswen  Talk | Contribs  19:13, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
