KGMB/KHNL licensees

I updated the licensees on these pages per the TV station queries on the FCC website. They were recently updated showing Gray Television Licensee, LLC as the current licensee. KansasCityKSMO (talk) 21:09, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

@KansasCityKSMO: You might want to look at the other former Raycom stations. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 21:45, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

@2001:569:7C07:2600:94E6:94DF:A64:37BD: It wasn't vandalism, just disruptive editing. I referred it to WP:ANI. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 02:09, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

It's been over a year since you ignored my talk re; your persistent over-linking and it seems you have not learned anything. So here it is again:

Your edits contain too many overlinks ie: New Jersey is not needed after Newark, New Jersey. Please familiarize yourself with the following information on when to link: MOS:OVERLINK

You have consistently reverted my edits without bothering to discuss on the talk page and have the audacity to say I started an edit war. Again: Your edits contain too many overlinks ie: New Jersey is not needed after Newark, New Jersey. Please familiarize yourself with the following information on when to link: MOS:OVERLINK As for leaving out the "class a's" that information is already in the info-box. The lede is meant to be brief, not filled with information that's already linked.

PS I went over this very same topic with you a year ago, and you seem to have learned nothing in the year since.

Your edits contain too many overlinks ie: Connecticut is not needed after Hartford, Connecticut. Please familiarize yourself with the following information on when to link [1]BlueboyLI (talk) 20:11, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

Sometimes less is more, esp. when editing lead articles. Your edits lead to reader fatigue with unnecessary redundant links. Other edits are incorrect ie: placing full power stations in the translator field or confusing programming services with networks. BlueboyLI (talk) 02:08, 25 November 2017 (UTC)

04:04, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

I do agree with BlueboyLI that many of the edits which you yourself have shown seem to be a serious case of WP:OVERLINK. Nil Einne (talk) 07:32, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Chicoutimi

Hi, Canadian places have a different naming convention. They use the undisambiguated form where possible. See Wikipedia talk:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board/Cities#Unincorporated communities, Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Canada-related articles#Article names and the "Neighbourhoods/communities" below and Wikipedia:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board/List of undisambiguated communities. By the way if Chicoutimi needed disambiguation it would be "Chicoutimi, Quebec". Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 13:49, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

PLEASE STOP YOUR EDIT WARRING

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. BlueboyLI (talk) 03:06, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

This was not edit warring; I was only formatting the city/state links to what you wanted (New Jersey doesn't come after Secaucus, New Jersey, etc.) Otherwise, you may have deleted some pertinent information. And if you keep bullying me, I will have you blocked.

BTW, Ion Television doesn't have a "flagship station" per se; their O&Os are more or less semi-satellites of each other. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 03:17, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

  Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. BlueboyLI (talk) 04:44, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

I don't understand how the edits I made constitute "Vandalism"

Why did I just get chastised? I copy-edited grammar, and did not change the meaning of the piece at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OHMYGOD808 (talkcontribs) 16:45, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

@OHMYGOD808: To clarify, it wasn't vandalism; you were using the wrong tense in the plot summary. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 16:48, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

Category:Television stations in Columbia, Missouri

This category should not be a redirect to Category:Television stations in Jefferson City, Missouri. Columbia is the largest and primary city of the market. The station KOMU which you removed from the Columbia category is physically located in Columbia and primarily serves that city. Grey Wanderer (talk) 15:11, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

File:Verao 90 logo.jpg

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. RonBot (talk) 18:21, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

I recently removed the 10/11 Logo from the KSNB Local4 Page and received a message saying i did it for no reason. 10/11 Is located on KOLN-TV and KGIN-TV although 10/11 is on channel 4.2, KSNB is a translator for channel 10.1 and 11.1. KSNB-TV is the tower for KSNB Local4, (on their website, there is not a space between Local and 4). Also, branding for this station is spelled Local4You (reflecting channel number) not Local For You. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrewnheckman (talkcontribs) 20:22, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

Shall we (semi-)protect articles WRFB and WORA-TV?

Given 64.237.232.173’s frequent activity being perceived as possible vandalism, shall we protect (or at least semi-protect) these two TV-station pages so that only registered users can edit them? ‑‑🌀SilSinnAL982100💬 05:17, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

@SilSinn9821: Just put in a new request. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 14:50, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
