Orphaned non-free image File:Bom Dia Brasil logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Bom Dia Brasil logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:25, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

NBC Boston

Hello. I’m curious why my source for the city of license change on what is now WYCN-LD was unreliable? It came straight from the FCC’s website and I can tell you personally, because I live in the Boston area, that they are now identifying themselves as a Providence station. KP9834595 (talk) 13:09, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

They haven't moved their transmitter yet; they have to file for a license to cover. And if they did, NBC would be dropped, as it already has an affiliate in Providence. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 13:13, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:DABL affiliates

A tag has been placed on Category:DABL affiliates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! All additions of this to articles outside of the CBS base have been reverted. You sourced this to Rabbitears, which we don't consider sourceable for subchannel affiliations. There is no affiliate list online for the network as far as I have been able to find. Wait until the network's website is up before adding this to articles; the last thing Wikipedia needs is to look foolish adding things to articles that don't prove to be true (and right now, Tribune/Nexstar certainly aren't adding subchannels outside of their own or Katz; it's a common-sense conclusion). MOS:SMALLTEXT

Please respect our WP:ACCESS guidelines, and find other ways to make text stand out in infoboxes. Please defer to that guideline rather than aesthetics. Nate (chatter) 01:42, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

Who is James C. Woods?

I've recently seen some black (not offensive or racist) guy whose name is James C. Woods, and lives in Covington, Tennessee. CentralTime301 (talk) 17:53, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

CentralTime301, Yeah, that's me, but I just moved to Mason, Tennessee. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 18:01, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

How to do "Undid revision ********* by a user (talk)"?

How do you do those "Undid revision ********* by a user (talk)"? I can't do that, can I? CentralTime301 (talk) 19:30, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

CentralTime301, See WP:UNDO. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 19:33, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

Edits on WMGM-TV and the use of "other_chs" in InfoBox

I have no clue why in the InfoBox "other_chs" is used and displayed as Translator(s), it should have been written out in the InfoBox script and displayed as "translator" but the fact is WUVP is not a translator which as I stated before is a totally different type of broadcast service, translators are low power transmitters and WMGM's broadcast on 65.3 is a simulcast on a full power television station. All I know is WUVP should not be listed as a translator. YborCityJohn (talk) 06:41, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

WLAJ

Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits on the page WLAJ, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You can also take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Spshu (talk) 21:31, 21 August 2019 (UTC)

Note to Spshu: Stop reverting edits to WLAJ. CentralTime301 (talk) 00:57, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

Spshu, you just want to do things your way, and frankly, that's not how it works here. You're not the boss of everyone, you don't get to tell others what to do, and how they should edit how YOU want to, because everyone's your little servant. And the worst part about it, you refuse to take criticism, using your "experience" as a excuse for your behavior. HurricaneGeek2002 (talk) 21:35, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

HurricaneGeek2002, Also tell that to BlueboyLI, Twofingered Typist and Cuchullain. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 21:39, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

Wouldn’t it make sense for the subchannel listing to start off capital? I’m kinda confused here. HurricaneGeek2002 (talk) 18:25, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

Edit drafting

Please take yourself off whatever lists you use to draft off my edits...I'm not happy to see edits made for the sake of editing when most here are trying to improve articles rather than needing edits all over merely to boost their edit numbers. Also stop changing infoboxes; the small-case wasn't approved by anybody and doesn't look good.Nate (chatter) 03:40, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Mrschimpf, I was trying to make text in infoboxes stand out as you said (see #MOS:SMALLTEXT); I'm not using small text anymore. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 03:44, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
For a text-reading program, it should not have "general colon" or "news colon" first, because that would read awkwardly in that type of venue. The text-reading should be as natural as possible, thus it should be ""TV-2" (general), "TV-2 News" (newscasts)". There are no objections in ACCESS to italics, thus my compromise. Always think of the reader first over aesthetics. Nate (chatter) 03:52, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Reply: I agree with Mvcg66b3r. P.S. Who is Nate? CentralTime301 (talk) 13:31, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

August 2019 distributive actions at WISN-TV

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to WISN-TV, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Explanation for removal were given: "Unsourced". Playing "I did not hear that" is not constructive to building an encyclopedia. After unsourced information is removed WP:BURDEN is on you to source the information to have it returned. Spshu (talk) 18:00, 27 August 2019 (UTC)

Regarding WIS (TV)

Hello. I'm not contesting your reversion of my edit, but neither your first edit without any edit summary nor your second one with a very generic reference to the MoS was helpful. Can you explain what provision in the (very large) MoS you're basing your edit on? --Tkynerd (talk) 12:47, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

Tkynerd, "Do not link to the "United States", because that is an article on a very broad topic with no direct connection" MOS:COMMONWORDS Mvcg66b3r (talk) 13:05, 29 August 2019 (UTC)
Thanks. *thumbs up* The link to COMMONWORDS would have been helpful in either of your edit summaries. Best regards. --Tkynerd (talk) 13:33, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

WYCN-CD/WBTS-LD

I reverted your reverting my edit on the state name because of MOS:POSTABBR which states that postal abbreviations should not be used in infoboxes. Stereorock (talk) 08:27, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
