To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Hello, I'm Jack Greenmaven. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Magic in the Greco-Roman world because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Greenmaven (talk) 05:33, 1 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Grand Teton Vodka may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 12:42, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello: my AfC "The Organization Workshop” was declined today by “User Mutualawe” re: Contact the editor: mail: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:EmailUser/Mutualawe wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mutualawe

However, when I click the above link, I am told that ‘User Mutualawe” does not exist. (?) Could someone enlighten me, please? Many thanks

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Promescent

edit

Hi Mutualawe, Can I ask you to expand on your reason for declining Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Promescent, I am not sure specifically what section of WP:NOT you are referring to in your statement. It is doubly confusing for a new user (DataTalks only 57 edits) to simply be pointed to WP:NOT, with no explanation as to why. --kelapstick(bainuu) 13:32, 18 May 2013 (UTC) This article read like a product placement to me. apologies if I have coded it incorrectly Dreams are real. TV is not. (talk) 07:38, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Also Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Rainbow Stories should not have been declined for notability concerns, the book as a New York Times review, and several other sources. Please refrain from reviewing articles at AfC until you have a better understanding of Wikipedia policy and notability requirements. --kelapstick(bainuu) 16:04, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

So wiki is s'pposed to have a page for every book the ny times reviews? Dreams are real. TV is not. (talk) 07:36, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

And why did you blank and nominate for deletion Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/KidStart? --kelapstick(bainuu) 16:17, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Kidstart is a page that promotes a website and nothing more which is why i deleted it Dreams are real. TV is not. (talk) 07:32, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Organization Workshop

edit

Re: The Organization Workshop - declined today 18 May 13 Dear Mutualawe: my MfC contains (numerous) references to published materials (including books and PhD theses which are accessible at/from University libraries). I would very much, indeed, appreciate if you could give me a couple of examples from my AfC of sources which are definitely not acceptable source material in line with wikipedia regulations – Many thanks beforehand! Your reviews

edit

I'm very skeptical about many of your AfC reviews. While we certainly could use help reviewing drafts, you haven't had so much as ten edits before today, and to be honest I don't think you have the experience to be sufficiently familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines to review drafts. Of the articles you accepted, quite a few don't seem to satisfy Wikipedia's notability guidelines, and I'm left wondering whether to move them back to AfC or to tag them for deletion. I would thus ask you to please stop reviewing until you have gathered more experience. Huon (talk) 21:33, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I came on with some spare time, I saw that there were over 1,000 articles for review and decided to use some of my spare (yet valuable) time to contribute. I see that even today, there are over 800 new articles for review. I use the approved of editing tools to aid me as I learn and used my best judgement while following notability guidelines. If you have any constructive suggestions, they would be welcome. Dreams are real. TV is not. (talk) 07:46, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry; I should have provided specific examples.
There were several othe drafts with similar problems. Huon (talk) 20:14, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Moved to mainspace in error

edit

Hi, I have reverted your move of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Infectious diseases within American prisons to Infectious Diseases In American Prisons. This is because the page should not have existed: a bad bot edit had reinstated an AfC draft which had already been moved to the correct name, Infectious diseases within American prisons. Having duplicate articles is not a good idea. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:57, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
