Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Jason Alexander. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Image copyright problem with Image:A Substantial Gift (The Broken Promise).jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:A Substantial Gift (The Broken Promise).jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --18:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Chilly Dogs.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Chilly Dogs.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by an adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 02:48, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Airplane! films.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Airplane! films.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:12, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Ed Williams (novelist)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ed Williams (novelist), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Ed Williams (novelist)
I have nominated Ed Williams (novelist), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ed Williams (novelist). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Damiens.rf 14:19, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

The Featured Picture Candidate that you created is a bit off. Located here, this has some major problems. You need a clear reasoning for nominating it and its gotta be in article. I removed cover images from List of Mad Magazine issues
Hi. I removed the whole Cover Image column from List of Mad Magazine issues. Those images are not free, so we cannot put them in a list just to show what they look like. We can still have a cover image in an article about an individual issue, and we can have a few examples in the Mad (magazine) article, just not in this list. The bots will probably put a few of those "Orphaned non-free media" warnings here later. --Apoc2400 (talk) 18:07, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Notability of 1st Annual IVy Awards
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on 1st Annual IVy Awards, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because 1st Annual IVy Awards is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting 1st Annual IVy Awards, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. No problem, I actually borrowed the idea myself from another user (I don't remember who), but modified it a bit. Good job with the GAs, and keep up the good work! Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 02:20, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Well done with the GAN's, and please feel free to ask for help in the future. Portal:Two and a Half Men
Hi. I noticed that you created numerous subpages for a portal on Two and a Half Men. However, none of the pages seem to be in use, and Portal:Two and a Half Men is a redlink. Have I missed something, or is the portal still under construction? Thanks, –Black Falcon (Talk) 23:17, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- Over the past few days, I have been going through a list (see User:Erwin85/Scratch2) of redundant and/or orphaned portal pages, and that's how I found the subpages for Two and a Half Men. Since you seem to be the sole author of all of the pages, I could delete them if you'd like (it would save the trouble of having to tag each page). If there's ever enough material to start a portal, all of the pages could be restored without any formal process. Shall I delete them? –Black Falcon (Talk) 18:56, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- ✓ Done. Cheers, –Black Falcon (Talk) 19:08, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Image:TwoandaHalfMen-Cast.png
A tag has been placed on Image:TwoandaHalfMen-Cast.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:TwoandaHalfMen-Cast.png|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. List of Lost (TV series) cast members
Hi, I was just passing through when I noticed you had a proposed List of Lost (TV series) cast members in your to-do list. I myself had considered creating such a list a while back, but never got around to it, and probably never will. I was wondering what design and format you were thinking of using for it? I had considered using something similar to List of Harry Potter cast members, with a separate column for each season. But I'd be interested to know what you had in mind. Gran2 14:14, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Looks pretty good, I'll have a look. As for an overall Lost cast topic, you do mean just the main cast members right? If so, then you could get a bit of opposition based on the topic not being complete. There's bound to be someone who says Alan Dale, (although that's no problem) John Terry and the like should be included as well. So I'd be wary of that. I will try and help you with the topic, though what with college I now have very little time for Wiki. But I will work on Henry Ian Cusick's page over the next few months. Gran2 16:43, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:HousePilot.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:HousePilot.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:18, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I noticed you added a FUR to the image and all, but we still need a source for the image (URL or something.) Also, is it possible we could get a more, I dunno, interesting, more representative of the episode? Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 22:54, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Good job on addressing the GA nomination. I started work on the article intending to get it back to FA, but looking at the article right now, it needs some work: there's the copyediting and grammar, of course, but then I think we need another paragraph for the physical production of the episode (filming, etc.) and then another paragraph under casting to go over House's team. I'm going to go look for some sources now, I guess looking through interviews with the actors. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 13:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Best episodes of House
Hi. Since you seem very familiar with House, could you give me the titles of about two to four episode fan-favorites from seasons 1 through 3 (total, not each)? I have been toying with the idea of buying the DVDs to catch up, but it's a lot of money so I want to check up beforehand to learn what I am getting myself into, without totally spoiling the series for me. – sgeureka t•c 13:26, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- So I've finally decided to get the DVDs next week or so. But do you know the name of the episode(s) of the first 40 seconds in this youtube video (the beating-his-hand scene and the writing-on-his-leg scene)? – sgeureka t•c 16:21, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Sure. I might as well. I'll try to give a good lending hand to the House article. Though, I probably won't be on much due to school. Thanks for the invite! Skeletal SLJCOAAATR Soulsor 15:03, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Eh? That's a shame. Well, so long as it gets enough editors, and we all do well, I'm all for it. Though, even projects that do get alot of work done, have been getting downgraded to simple Taskforces these days. So, same may happen here if there's not enough work. Adrian Monk
Three questions, as a fan of the show:
- How do you grow OCD?
- Wasn't Monk already obsessive-compulsive before Trudy was murdered? I'm pretty sure that Stottlemeyer said something about Monk being like he is before Trudy was murdered (but not as debilitating as after).
- What do you think of Psych?
Ta, Sceptre (talk) 23:03, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi, first of all, thanks for noticing my edits to the page. I've posted my edits to this page because I read the banner above your talkpage, so the answers to your questions are listed below.
- Well, I wasn't sure how to put it, you see, it's something you slowly ehrr... develop? I think he already had it a bit before Trudy died but his condition worsened after she died. Perhaps I should put it that way? I noticed you put developed in place, which sounds better.
- Well, you should check the references, various reliable sources point out that he got it after she died. Also, it's stated in the third paragraph that Monk showed signs of it before he met Trudy.
- I think it's pretty good, I really liked the fourth episode where they keep saying that the guy has "cool hair". Still I like Monk better, I don't know why. By the way, (this has absolutely nothing to do with it, but I want to tell anyway), I recently discoverd a show called Blackadder II, which is very very funny. Although it's a bit British humor kind of show and I don't know if you like it, there are various episodes post on youtube if you want to check it out.
Later, --Music26/11 15:39, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- I haven't watched "Mr Monk and the Candidate" in quite some time. I think the current version is fine, though. Oh, and Blackadder is awesome. :) Sceptre (talk) 00:51, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

I am also attempting a long "wikibreak", but as you can see, it hasn't been very successful. ;) (Therefore, I cannot help out too much.) If we were to create one for the first season, what would you like to include, e.g. episodes, reception, production? I recently got Prison Break (season 2) to FL, if you want to take a look. However, do you think we should just focus on the individual episodes? The season pages usually provide no new information, and most of them are pretty useless. I think we should focus on getting the episodes to GA, or just creating them, before starting a season list. Although, I would still be happy to help out with a season list, and 97198 may offer to help. Corn.u.co.pia • Disc.us.sion 13:40, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
- Episode articles it is then! :) Well, as I said before, I am going to be on Wikipedia a lot less these days, but I'll continue to help out. I think the best method is to just create which article you like, rather than in order. I created a sandbox where we can insert links we have found for each appropriate article: User:Cornucopia/DexterEps. Also, what do you think of archiving your talk page? If you don't know how to, I'll be happy to help! :) Corn.u.co.pia • Disc.us.sion 04:46, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry to spring this on you now, but I have decided to reduce my time on Wikipedia. This means I am no longer going to be article building or anything like that. :( I'll be around for the next week or two, or three, but after that I probably won't be very active. Good luck with your work on the pilot; hopefully everything goes well. :) Corn.u.co.pia • Disc.us.sion 10:25, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello, there. Thanks for your kind message. I've had a look at your FAC and supported it because it has really, really improved since I saw it at PR. You guys did an excellent job and I was really impressed. Have a nice day, Rosenknospe (talk) 17:22, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

The Frighteners
Hello, you noted at the WP:GAN page that The Frighteners was being reviewed, but there does not seem to be a review underway. Are you planning to review the article? I was just wondering, since I've given people at WikiProject Films a heads-up about the articles on the backlog. —Erik (talk • contrib) 23:03, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hey there.. Just a note to let you know that I addressed your concerns with The Frighteners. Cheers. Wildroot (talk) 21:14, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- OK, now I think it's ready. Andrzejbanas fixed the soundtrack concern. Wildroot (talk) 03:40, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Adrian Monk
I will be reviewing Monk. I have started commenting at Talk:Adrian Monk/GA1. It will take me a few days to finish my review, but you may start responding whenever it is convenient. It might be a bit onerous if you wait until I am done to start responding.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:43, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- No worries. I'll be here when you get back.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 18:17, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:MadIssue450.JPG)
Thanks for uploading File:MadIssue450.JPG.
Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Userbox for GA reviews
The userbox {{User Good Articles reviewed}} has been updated so that it can now link to a page in your user subspace where you keep track of all your GA reviews, if you have such a page. This can be done by adding a | and then the name of your user subpage (or subsection of your regular user page) wherever you have the template called. For example, on my user page I am using
{{User Good Articles reviewed|6|User:Rjanag/GA reviews}}
which displays as
|
There is more information on how to do this at Template:User Good Articles reviewed.
Note: If you are not interested in doing this, you don't have to do anything; the template will still work for you exactly as it does now.
DYK for Dexter (episode)
Monk
Congratulations. I have passed the article. You should add some talk page project tags to the article. Probably check the same articles that you checked for the image FURs.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 18:32, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
