If you are connected to someone or something you have written about (a few examples are writing about yourself, your business, your band, a member of your family, your client) then you should be aware that Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline discourages you from writing about that subject. The main reason for that is that experience over the years indicates that editors with such a connection to a subject they are writing about are likely to find it very difficult, or even impossible, to stand back from their writing and see how it will look from the detached perspective of an outsider, so that they are likely to write in ways that look promotional to others, even if they sincerely think they are writing in a neutral way. Also, if your editing forms all or part of work for which you are paid, whether as an employee, as a contractor, or in any other capacity, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require you to state who is paying you, and what your connection to them is. Hi, Here my response. I wrote the article on Munatix because I am interested in the band and their music. I am not connected to the band. There is no mention of Munatix in Wikipedia yet. That is why I wrote the article. It is written in an objective and neutral way. Only facts are mentioned. The article is not written in assignment and I am not receiving payment for it. OK, thanks for clearing that up. However, since you are not connected to Munatix, using the name of the band as your user name is likely to mislead people (as it misled me). For that reason, you should not carry on editing with this user name. In fact Wikipedia's user name policy does not allow any user name that is the name of any group or organisation, such as a band, whether the user is connected to that group or not, as a user account is supposed to be for one person, not a group, so you should definitely not continue to edit with this user name. You can create a new account with a new user name if you like, but you may prefer to keep this account and have it renamed. If so, there are instructions on how to request a renaming at Wikipedia:Changing username, but rather than working your way through that you may find it easier to just ask me to rename your account. If you do choose to do that, there are two things to do:

1. Choose a new user name, and check that it has not already been taken by someone else. To do that, click on this link. Write the new user name in the box labelled "Display users starting at", and then click on "Show". A list of user names will show up, and if the name you have typed in has already been taken, it will be first on the list, so you will need to try another one.
2. Post a message here asking me to change your user name. At the top of that message post {{ping|JBW}}. That will show up on the page as @JBW: and I will be automatically notified of your message.
