Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, Elite Nazi, does not meet our username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have selected a new username that meets the username policy guidelines, which are summarized below.
Per the username policy, a username should represent an individual and should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights or being a "Bot" account (unless approved for such purposes)); be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of a organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87" is allowed, though, among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy of paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our username policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you wish for your existing contributions to carry over under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" from their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a change of name request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use. Therefore, please check the list here to see if a name is taken prior to requesting a change of name.
Appeals: If, after reading the guide to appealing blocks you believe you were blocked in error, then you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice. Cabayi (talk) 06:38, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ibn Taymiyyah controversial

edit

Ibn Taymiyyah engaged in numerous disputes during his lifetime, was sometimes imprisoned for his views, and some later interpretations of "Takfiri" ideology rely on him, so it's hard to say why he would not be considered controversial. 00:48, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

It's upon the people to decide whether the matters are controversial or not...
This term is based on opinions. I don't consider it controversial while my friend may feel so.
And at the same time many viewers who read about Ibn Taymiyyah first time, will already find that this person is controversial and his analysis may be biased.
As for the imprisonment...
Many great people were imprisoned and persecuted like Abu Hanifa,Imam Sha'fi, Ahmad ibn Hanbal and in last century the great reformer Sheikh Al Albani...
Muhammad Ibn Zeya (talk) 02:40, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
I said nothing about whether the imprisonment was just or unjust. Either way, it indicates controversy.
It's not for Wikipedia to decide on its own whether he's controversial, but if Reliable sources say that he's controversial, then we can report on that... AnonMoos (talk) 06:29, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

We'll, it's also the responsibility of Wikipedia to avoid chaos and remove the things which hurts the feelings of a large group of people and when the matter is of Religious scholars, it becomes more sensitive. Removing the word won't bring except good but keeping it will surely bring heated debates and controversies. And I don't see anything in the word that will help the readers to gain knowledge in any way... Please, consider my suggestion & remove the word Muhammad Ibn Zeya (talk) 07:42, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

You seem to be giving the word "controversial" a meaning it doesn't really have. If many people love a person and many other people hate him, then he's controversial, regardless of his merits or demerits. I'm not editing the article right now; to discuss things with those who are editing, go to Talk:Ibn Taymiyyah... -- AnonMoos (talk) 09:13, 19 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

In that case most of the Giants of Knowledge can be called as 'controversial'.

Using this word in the biography of Darwin will also be justifiable.

It seems that rather than considering my request, you are in the state of resistance for any change! Muhammad Ibn Zeya (talk) 10:45, 19 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
