GHURIDS.

The origin of ghurids are doubted( either pashtun or tajik as per wiki) so it should be on both articles but with a "debated". That would fit the wiki standards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:4643:C8EC:0:2088:C20D:2540:8E08 (talk) 12:42, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome! edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Talk page usage edit

Since you are engaging in talk page discussions, please review HELP:TALK for a quick intro to how to indent and sign talk posts. HELP:Talk pages gives more detail.
This post was a bit disorganised, and I am going to clean it up a bit. Please watch what I do so that you can follow in future. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 10:13, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Here is the edit that did the reformatting. I added enough ":" symbols to get the right indentation, enclosed all URL's in [] square brackets, and added your signature. You should always use the PREVIEW button to check that your post looks right. You will only be able to get your points across if your posts are clear and clean. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 10:26, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Editing at History of India edit

A few notes in reply to your recent post at the article talkpage. Placing it here so that the discussion on that talkpage can remain focused on the article content and not editor conduct:

  • One doesn't need to have perfect English to edit wikipedia but when in doubt discuss/get help on the article talkpage and polish the text before adding it to the article. Also taking a bit of time to compose and format your talkpage posts (as you have been told before) would help.
  • As for sources: Taylor's 1902 book, Vincent Smith's 1920 book, Raya's 1939 book, and Ian Austin's obscure book, among others, are not good enough sources, especially for this top-level page. See WP:HISTRS for the type of sources that are desired.
  • Thirdly, copying text between wikipedia articles without proper attribution is a copyright violation; see WP:COPYWITHIN.
  • Also when copying make sure to update the formatting of the copied references to match the existing style on the target page. In particular you copied citations to "Peter Jackson 2003, p. 9.", "Cynthia Talbot 2015, p. 33." etc without adding the needed information about what exact source those shortened footnotes refer to. See WP:SRF for details.
  • Finally, you should be aware of wikipedia's policies on sock- and meat-puppetry.

Given the number of issues with your recent contributions, I would suggest slowing down on the talkpage and, definitely, not to edit-war to get your preferred content included in the article. If you have questions about the issues I mentioned above feel free to ask here or at WP:TEAHOUSE. Abecedare (talk) 15:15, 19 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
