Hello. Your recent edit to Lafayette, Indiana appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Steve Hannagan

Nobody, certainly not me, said he isn't notable. But notability for Wikipedia's purposes is not demonstrated by what an article says, it's demonstrated by how well the article reliably sources what it says — so it is entirely possible to write an unacceptable and non-keepable article about a theoretically notable person, if the sources aren't the correct type. It's the quality of the sources that tells us whether a person is notable enough for a Wikipedia article, not what the text says. Bearcat (talk) 02:15, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

How do you define the "quality of the sources." The sources include articles from Fortune, Time, Scribners, New Yorker, Smithsonian Magazine, Colliers, Handbook of Public Relations and Unseen Power (one of the major books on public relations history). These were not minor citations. I am willing to make changes, but I have to understand the condition about sources. Mtownsley (talk) 21:18, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
