Take part in a survey

Hi Mrwoogi010

We're working to measure the value of Wikipedia in economic terms. We want to ask you some questions about how you value being able to edit Wikipedia.

Our survey should take about 10-15 minutes of your time. We hope that you will enjoy it and find the questions interesting. All answers will be kept strictly confidential and will be anonymized before the aggregate results are published. Regretfully, we can only accept responses from people who live in the US due to restrictions in our grant-based funding.

As a reward for your participation, we will randomly pick 1 out of every 5 participants and give them $25 worth of goods of their choice from the Wikipedia store (e.g. Wikipedia themed t-shirts). Note that we can only reward you if you are based in the US.

Click here to access the survey: https://mit.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eXJcEhLKioNHuJv

Do you have any way of proving this is reliable and not a scam?  mrwoogi010  Talk 16:41, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
I have participated in it. The first link he sent links to the WMF-approved research page. Kb03 (talk) 17:17, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
Thankyou Kb03, I'll give it a try.  mrwoogi010  Talk 17:18, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

TheFamousPeople.com as a source

Hi Mrwoogi010. I noticed that you recently used thefamouspeople.com as a source for biographical information. Please note that there is general consensus that thefamouspeople.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for such information. (Discussions here and here). Allstarbio.com is similarly poor. If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 01:00, 23 December 2018 (UTC)

I agree with you and have decided to find alternative sources for this information. Do you think that these are reliable sources?

Proposed deletion of Elias Harger

The article Elias Harger has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails notability guidelines at WP:NACTOR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Alright SuperEditor123456, I am not going to reply to the email that you sent me due to disclosing my email address. However, I would like to know why you sent me that very unneeded email?  mrwoogi010  Talk 18:06, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
According to my sources you need a lesson in gramer. [1] SuperEditor123456 (talk) 18:59, 28 December 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Abuse of multiple accounts

I have blocked SuperEditor123456, the "bad hand" account you created to harass yourself. Can you explain why you believe you shouldn't be blocked as well?-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:04, 28 December 2018 (UTC)

With all due respect, I did not create an account to harass myself, but I do think that I know of someone that might have done so. My IP address is shared and if that is the reason it looks like me using two accounts. My siblings, I have multiple, have been creating other accounts. This account that has been created must have been created by one of them to try and get me off the website, as they HATE Wikipedia. I didn't realize that it was them until I got this notice because they began laughing out loud. I can send records of pictures of us, email records, some sort of proof that the two accounts are not mine. I promise that I will be more careful and double check with other people that use the IP Address or know me before questioning any other users. I would also like to mention that the email that was used to send that to me was created with the sole purpose of trying to "harass" me. If it looks like the account had prior knowledge or similar typing styles we both have the same parents and my siblings have been watching me edit Wikipedia ever since I started. I have my sibling here next to me and they would like to apologize as well. Sorry for the misunderstanding and (many) problems this caused. I am really sorry if it is a big mess, but I am sitting here at the computer crying for a potential block caused my siblings. -- mrwoogi010  Talk 19:15, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
The checkuser technical data includes more than just your IP address. I can clearly see you making this edit, five minutes later creating the sock account, emailing yourself via the sock, and then making this edit interchangeably within minutes of each other on the same device. Whatever experiment you were partaking in needs to never happen again. I won't block your account but this needs to be a one-off.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:24, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
