I created a User page and a personal Sandbox for you

edit
  • Jim, I couldn't find your User page before because you had not yet created a User page. I have now created a User page for you. Whenever you enter Wikipedia and wish to visit your User page, simply enter exactly this User:Mrs Wei in the search box on the left hand side of every page in Wikipedia and then press the "Go" button.
  • The User page I created for you is a very bare minimum. I created a section headed by "About me" and included one sentence in it, namely: I live in Spain and I am fairly new to Wikipedia. You really should enter more information, such as: a brief paragraph on your background, education, and experience; your major interests; why you came to use Wikipedia; where you live; etc. You can even include your real name if you so wish.
  • To enter more information on your User page, just visit your User page and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the page. Then enter information to your heart's content. When finished, scroll down to the bottom and click on the "Submit" button.
  • I also created a personal Sandbox for you. To access it, visit your User page and you will see at the top: /Sandbox <== just click here. Click on the /Sandbox and it will take you to your sandbox.
  • Once you are at your Sandbox, click on the "edit" tab at the top and then go ahead and enter whatever you wish. When you're finished, you can scroll down and click "Preview" and after previewing, scroll down and click "Submit". Any time you wish, you can again click the "Edit" tab on your Sandbox page and then partially or completely delete whatever is in your sandbox ... and then scroll down and click "Submit" to make the deletion.
  • So now, you could draft that History section for the Flue gas stacks article on your Sandbox edit page, then scroll down and click submit. I can visit your Sandbox to review it and make suggestions about it, if any.
  • I hope this is all clear. I suggest that you print a hard copy of this page. I know it sounds like a lot to assimilate, but it really is quite simple.
  • Please leave another message on my User Talk:Mbeychok page (and/or email me) to let me know that you got this message,

Thanks for the write-up on the history of flue gas stacks

edit

Jim, I just scanned your write-up and it looked good to me. I will probably make just a very few minor changes and then install it in the flue gas article ... sometimes later today. Right now, I've got a doctor's appointment that I must get to.

By the way, from now on you can leave me messages at User talk:mbeychok rather than sending emails, if you wish. - mbeychok 15:04, 24 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
