Thanks for helping out the Ranger's Apprentice page! I plan to try and also clean it up during summer and have made the plot section a bit better. If you have read Halt's Peril can you please write a better summary? Thanks! Derild4921 21:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ok then. In Austraila its up to book nine but in America I've only been able to get the first eight. Again, thanks for your help! Derild4921 16:20, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your opinion

edit

Sorry for bothering you so much but since you're the only other person who is trying to improve Ranger's Apprentice, do you think all the character have to stay on the main article? We can just keep the recurring and main characters. What do you think? Derild4921 14:28, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

The list looks fine, but we're going to need to clean it up. Also, you can make links shorter and replace the url with your own text by using brackets. For your link you can put [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mrflabulous/Sandbox Sandbox] making Sandbox. When not using links, you can also use the articles title such as Ranger's Apprentice. When using titles, use double brackets. For example, Ranger's Apprentice. To rename the title, use the bar above the enter key. This would look like this, [[Ranger's Apprentice|characters]] making characters. Maybe I'm underestimating you, but hope this helped!
Great! Glad to be able to help! Do you mind if sometimes I edit your Sandbox to help create the character sections? Thanks in advance! Derild4921 21:58, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hi again! I'm rewriting the Setting section in my Sandbox. Do you think it would be better to separate the different countries with a new section or just use separate paragraphs? Derild4921 17:56, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ok, so we need to add some references for the setting areas preferably from reviews, but if necessary we can cite the books. Besides this, can you try and find some reviews, themes and sales for the series? That would be the encyclopedic part of the article. Thanks for all the help! I found some reviews on Google just by typing Ranger's Apprentice reviews and themes by typing Ranger's Apprentice themes. I would suggest using Accessmylibrary.com for reviews, it has access to a lot of reviews, but you need a library card, I have one and found a bunch. When I can use my laptop, I'll get it up.Derild4921 13:43, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I found a really good source with and interview withe John Flangan! It has answers on his inspiration, themes and even reviews! link or I copied the important parts into here. Derild4921 18:22, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

That's ok, I felt the same way when I first started too! The hard way to cite is to fo it manually, but if you go to My Preferences/Gadgets/Editing gadgets and check off redTools, it's really easy to cite things! When editing an article, just look for the Insert Citation text above the article text box. It will give you different types of citing and select one and complete whatever info you have. You can first test it out in the Sandbox or your own sandbox if you want. I'll add some info needing citations by my self and you can help whenever you feel comfortable!
