Autobiographical Information edit

Hi. In reference to the article Michael Repoulis that you have created and have continued to edit, based off your username, I am assuming you are actually, indeed, Michael Repoulis. This poses several Neutral Point of View implications. Please refrain from modifying articles that you have a vested interest in. Alpha 4615 (talk) 03:48, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

November 2011 edit

Hello! I'm a bot created by another Wikipedia editor. I wanted to let you know that I removed a link that you recently added to the page List of string quartet composers here. I did this because http://www.mrepoulis.webs.com is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

Thank you! --XLinkBot (talk) 04:05, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Michael Repoulis do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.

Composers edit

Welcome! Sorry if I treated you unpolitely - I didn't know that you are new here. The List of composers by name is strictly for composers who have an article. The one you seem to have created was deleted, right? That also happened to my first one. What do you think of first planning it in your user space User:Mrepoulis/Michael Repoulis, - click on this link and start. It has to be factual and be supported by independent sources (as you will have heard before). I will watch and help, if you like. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:02, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Do me a favour and first create a decent article in your user space. Until that can be moved to article space, please don't insert links. External links within articles are bad style, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:41, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Michael Repoulis edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Michael Repoulis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. →Στc. 21:55, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Michael Repoulis. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.
I did this because http://www.mrepoulis.webs.com is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia.

Your contributed article, String Quartet Music edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, String Quartet Music. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Michael Repoulis. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Michael Repoulis - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. NtheP (talk) 22:44, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

November 2011 edit

Hello Mrepoulis. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to you, your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. JNW (talk) 22:47, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Michael Repoulis. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. About your edits edit

The Wikipedia community is generally very patient, but single-purpose accounts aimed at promotion don't usually get much traction. Please don't remove maintenance templates again. What you need to do is supply acceptable references, per WP:RELIABLE, that will support the subject's significance. A Google search didn't return much, and the publication of works doesn't establish their, or the author's, notability. Thank you, JNW (talk) 23:53, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Single-purpose, self-promotion account edit

Also removal of tags

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
