260million+ copies is fine for dragon Ball. You dont need to remove the plus. Mr TOTEM (talk) 06:24, 12 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey

edit

Thanks for the addition of Naruto on the Best selling media list,is there any plans to add Bleach/Hunterxhunter/Attack on titan and others? I think theres a problem in lack of data for those though.WillsEdtior777 (talk) 05:30, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Adjusted Naruto gross

edit

in List_of_highest-grossing_media_franchises#naruto I added Namco bandai's Net sales. after i added it i noticed you've been added some of it to the Video game net sales. Can you explain how you got some of these numbers? for example i cannot see 2016 Net sales data in the 2017 report.

Also i've changed the Japan gross in home entertainment. As oricon counts all kind of media and not only home media on that ranking. . WillsEdtior777 (talk) 23:14, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the proper changes and I have provided the home sales entertainment links, but I think those are completely bugged out and not opening anymore. Mr TOTEM (talk) 12:18, 19 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Re: Dragon Ball and Pokemon

edit

Hi! I've reverted back to the last clean version. I will put Dragon Ball back when I check the sources.(the $30 billion figure for Dragon Ball for example from the book doesn't seem accurate) The last number for the Pokemon franchise was ¥6.0 trillion($50 billion) as of March 2017. [1] Timur9008 (talk) 18:59, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

I can add the merchendise sales, videogame sales and manga + anime box office sales and the card sales of dragon Ball for now and it seems the Pokemon videogame sales and card sales were also missing and many other franchises were also missing. I am also trying to add them Mr TOTEM (talk) 07:12, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
If you are gonna add back the other franchises you should check the sources. As discussed on the talk page Pokemon videogame sales and card sales as probably included in retail sales. Dragon Ball manga sales were original research hence it was removed. Timur9008 (talk) 09:22, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
I've added back Dragon Ball with merch sales up until 2011 + anime box office. Not sure if you are fluent in Japanese but you can add stuff back stuff for that franchise(merch sales for later years) but check the sources first. I didn't add the merch sales for the later years because they were added by Maestro2016(whow is now banned) and I'm not sure if they are accurate. Timur9008 (talk) 11:40, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dragon Ball and Mario

edit

Hi! I've reverted your edit at List of highest-grossing media franchises because box office and video games sections at Dragon Ball lead to section on articles created by User:Maestro2016. And given how everything else he calcuated better just to remove it. With regards to Mario I don't see where Miyamoto outright says the franchise made 30 billion. I mean do these sources look reliable to you [2] ($15 billion, The Sydney Morning Herald) or [3] ($30 billion,IGN). At least the $7 billion figure is directly from Nintendo and is mentioned 3 times. Timur9008 (talk) 14:29, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Also look at WP:CITOGENESIS Timur9008 (talk) 14:35, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
The dragon ball video games made above 6 billion infact the dbz dokkan battle alone made 3 billion but for some reason you just refuses to see it and mario sold 800 milion copies of game do you really think it made only 7 billion? i given you the interview as of recent times but you refuses to use it for some reason. Mr TOTEM (talk) 15:41, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
IGN mentioned the $30 billion in their article.(doesn't say where they got the number). That is WP:CITOGENESIS given the $30 billion number was mentioned in the Wikipedia article.
Sorry about Dragon ball video games. I've added Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle with the Sensor Tower source. The rest of the video game section was Maestro2016's work and should be removed. Timur9008 (talk) 16:00, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
whrere are the DB box office sales? you only given broly movie sales where is battle of gods? where is resurrection f ? and where are other 17 movie sales? belive it or not those are completly right figure in the wikipedia about the box office total sales of all 21 movies and the home video sales of 2billion +, Db sold 30 million units in US alone. and i got my miyamoto interview from variety https://variety.com/2023/film/features/super-mario-bros-movie-shigeru-miyamoto-interview-1235572488/. This interview came out just before the release of the super mario bros 2023 movie. Mr TOTEM (talk) 16:07, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
And whose's to say the number is not from IGN?
Regarding Dragon Ball. Do did you check all the sources? It's Maestro2016's edits [4].
This has been somewhat discussed on the talk page but you shouldn't section link.(I've already removed that from all the brands given i've spent almost 5 months cleaning up the page). You need to verify the info. Do you know Japanese? I've requested assistance at the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga but no luck. Timur9008 (talk) 16:29, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've attached the numbers source for Dragon Ball box office and home video for now. I will ask someone from the Anime and Manga Wikipedia project to help with List of Dragon Ball films. Timur9008 (talk) 16:44, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
The numbers do not have the proper home video sales,30 million units sold in US alone each season costed 24.99$ now you do the math Mr TOTEM (talk) 17:00, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hence I said for now. I've asked User:Xexerss to help. Timur9008 (talk) 17:04, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
ok something positive atlast Mr TOTEM (talk) 17:48, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well he replied but User_talk:Xexerss#Neep_Help apparently the numbers were messed up by another user.
I don't know Japananese to do it. Timur9008 (talk) 05:52, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Then you have to use the home video sales from the wiki, and DB merchendise is also wrong in 2019 Bandai namco released the figure how much DB made https://twitter.com/ArchedThunder/status/1622885669457776640/photo/1 which is 139 billion yen which roughly translate to 1 billion+ and another thing call of duty franchise sold 400 million copy as of now it is 30 billion but mario sold over 800 million copy of videogames and it only made 7 billion? I am sorry something is not adding up and remember these Mario games were always 60$ because nintendo never rarely gives sale. Mr TOTEM (talk) 10:02, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
The home video and Box office sections for Dragon Ball need to be checked first per WP:VERIFY. You can add the merch numbers(not the Twitter post obviously) if 139 billion yen is 1 billion.
As for Mario. The $7 billion figure is based on 158 million copies sold. [5]. Maybe we will get a press release from Nintendo like with Call of Duty. Call of Duty previous total revenue numbers were mentioned in press releases from Activision and investor calls. Same can't be said for Mario. Timur9008 (talk) 14:43, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
You realise that the 1B figure is yearly and not a series total for the series history right?
Current total for Dragon Ball franchise is ridiculously underestimated currently even if previous figure was inflated. 2A00:23C6:4B46:D901:20BE:525B:9AAC:4846 (talk) 16:58, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes of course I know that DB made around 27 to 30 billion, that one billion made in 2019 alone, I know DB is massive Mr TOTEM (talk) 17:14, 13 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I think this is the right one? [6] says between 2022-2023 though. Timur9008 (talk) 14:51, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Here is one [7] (from Tweaktown) Timur9008 (talk) 15:01, 12 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes thats the one for dragon ball Mr TOTEM (talk) 13:34, 13 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
