Thank for your help on the Joseph Frank (promoter) article. I was able to get more information out of that link you provided earlier where I put into the article. Chris (talk) 23:07, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

First SPI

edit

Since you asked for comments...

I was going to point out that CUs won't confirm an IP to a named account. And I was going to point out that the IPs hadn't edited in a week or more so there was nothing to be done about them. And then I clicked, it was all about incriminating Amit1101989, and pointing to his avoidance of his final warning for copyvio, a job you did quite effectively.

Apart from spending over an hour cleaning up copyright violations of movie reviews of Japanese porn (how did my life come to this?) I'm happy with the outcome. Hope that helps, Cabayi (talk) 13:19, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Revision deletion

edit

Thank you for your work in getting rid of copyvios. I have declined your request for revision deletion for John Debney. You were right to remove the problematic text but I thought revision deletion unsuitable. It would have affected about 700 revisions for a fairly minor infringement, and I thought it fell within the exceptions mentioned here. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:22, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Cwmhiraeth: Fair enough. Thanks for letting me know. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 18:42, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Philippine–American War

edit

Thanks for this edit. I see that that cite came from another edit of mine here in response to a {{cn}}, and was later fleshed out by me. I think that the assertion probably cane from one of my edits too. I see that the Miller book is cited a few sentences later, and that was probably my source for the assertion and for other nearby material. I no longer have a copy of the Miller book and cannot check that easily. Cheers. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 10:28, 15 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Wtmitchell: Google Books has the Miller book per the reference section. If the preview doesn't have the page you need, you could tag that part with citation needed. Also, you could always ask Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request to track down the info you need. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 19:33, 15 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:34, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Female Fellows of the Royal Society

edit

Hi. I see you've added quite a few women's Wikipedia entries to the category of female Fellows of the Royal Society. Unfortunately, quite a few of these women are members or foreign members of the Royal Society, which is quite different to being a Fellow of the Royal Society. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I have undone quite a few entries where this is applicable and generally added links to their Royal Society profile page as evidence. E bruton (talk) 13:00, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

@E bruton: Hello! I figured they were part of fellows as List of female fellows of the Royal Society has both fellows and foreign members. I got misled. Thanks! --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 19:41, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
@MrLinkinPark333: Completely understood - it is a rather odd distinction! Are you happy to reverst the ones I didn't get around to? E bruton (talk) 21:47, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
@E bruton: Yep. Going through them now. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 22:11, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
