October 2021 edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Maria Theresa Asmar. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Longhair\talk 02:32, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Signing your edits edit

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Longhair\talk 03:00, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

March 2022 edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for edit warring, as you did at Maria Theresa Asmar. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.   —ScottyWong— 00:14, 3 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • It's a very bad move when the first edit back from your edit-warring block is the same revert that got you blocked. You must discuss the matter to reach conclusion, not edit war. —C.Fred (talk) 02:07, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
    I hear you but apparently there is no one to discuss the matter with. I listed facts in the talk page months ago, yet my edit keeps getting reverted. Does the "discuss-not-edit-war-rule" only apply to me? Anyway, the current edit in the article about Maria Theresa Asmar simply consists false information. Feel free to look that up. It's just unfortunate that an Wikipedia article is allowed to consist a lot of wrong information – even the amount of pages written in the article are far from the truth. I have read Maria Theresa Asmar's memoirs and referenced to the exact pages where I found my sources. Facts should not be interpreted or discussed. Williamcarbone has participated in discussion. Perhaps you should request a third opinion. —C.Fred (talk) 20:53, 14 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
