Thanks for uploading File:MCSE logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Non-free rationale for File:IRI.Army Chief of Staff.svg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:IRI.Army Chief of Staff.svg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Where can I find some more information (in English, if possible please) about this rank? To what rank is the single star insignia equivalent? Thanks in advance, Pdfpdf (talk) 10:36, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. This is the insignia of Second Lieutenant of Iranian Armed Forces (for Ground Force the shoulderboard is Khaki and for Air Force is the blue). you can find some information here, but there is no english page for that. Here

The single star insignia for Iranian armed forces is for Third Lieutenant and there is no equivalent for that.

Thanks. By-the-way, you might find Lieutenant#Third lieutenant interesting. (You may even wish to expand it to include mention of the Iranian rank?) Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 13:46, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

What does IRGC mean? (Islamic Republican Guardians Corps??) Is there a en:wikipedia page containing information about the IRGC? Pdfpdf (talk) 15:06, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

IRGC means Iranian Revolutionary Guardian Corps. it's the second military force of Iran (it established after Revolution of Iran in 1978). it's like Iranian Army. The main mission of IRGC is to defend Islamic Revolution and its values. Today IRGC is more powerful than Army.

About two files

edit

Hi MrInfo2012, and thank you for your wonderful contributions!

  1. Regarding File:Order of Nasr.png, I found it with another colours (mentioned in the source), are you sure about your design?
  2. File:Flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army.png seems wrong, because the bakground is not in plain red comparing to this and this. The flags for Ground force, Air force, Navy and Air Defence seem to be coloured in green, blue, white and violet respectively. It would be nice if you can design flags for those, Sepah and Police as well.

Pahlevun (talk) 11:45, 8 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi my friend it's my bad, you're true about Order of Nasr. If you have true color please inform me. but about the Flag, it's not my work. someone created it and mentioned me in author section. I really want design those flag but I don't have correct flag. Indeed I don't have those verses around the center rectangle. do you have them?  MrInfo2012  Talk  05:34, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Well, the only thing I could find is this picture that I made my design based on it. I don't know, I'll try to find out the verse. Pahlevun (talk) 10:54, 12 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear Marchjuly,

I corrected Licensing issue of those files. Please check it and inform me. Thanks.  MrInfo2012  Talk  10:06, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

The licenses you've chosen seem to be OK, but you need to provide a non-free use rationale for each use of File:IRI NAJA Flag.svg. In my opinion, you're going to have a hard time justifying the the non-free use of the file if you're only going to use it as a flag icon in article infoboxes because such use is primarily decorative does not satisfy WP:NFCC#8. Moreover, non-free content cannot be used in templates per WP:NFCC#9, so the file needs to be removed from them as well. The only possible article where non-free use of this file might be justified is Law Enforcement Force of Islamic Republic of Iran. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:03, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:IRI Army.svg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:IRI Army.svg.

Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:07, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

As I posted above, it's almost impossible to justify non-free use where the file is simply being used as a flag icon within an infobox, so it's unlikely a valid non-free use rationale can be written for any article other than Islamic Republic of Iran Army. Moreover, non-free images cannnot be used in templates per WP:NFCC#9. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:32, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Templates nominated for deletion

edit

Hey MrInfo2012
I have nominated templates Ranks and Insignia of Non NATO Armies/OF/Iran (Army) and Ranks and Insignia of Non NATO Air Forces/OF/Iran (Air Force) for the deletion, since there already exists standardized templates for both the army and air force. With the addition of the new ones, there will just be more templates to be confused about. You can find the discussion here. Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

Regards Skjoldbro (talk) 14:56, 7 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

The current versions of Iranian military ranks is not true. Iran now doesn't have Lieutenant General and General ranks (OF-8, OF-9, OF-10). New changes I'd made is true about Iranian ranks and unfortunately you deleted them. ;(  MrInfo2012  Talk  05:50, 10 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Non-free content use

edit

Hi MrInfo2012. Non-free files such as File:IRI.SNDU.svg can only be used in accordance with Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. One of the restirictions placed on non-free use is non-free content use criterion #9 which states that non-free files may only be used in the article namespace; this means that non-free files cannot be used (i.e., displayed on your userpage per WP:UP#Non-free files. I've previously removed the IRI.SNDU file before leaving edit sums explaining why, but each time you subsequently re-added the file. So, this time I'm posting here for further clarification. Please don't re-add this file or any more non-free files to your userpage again. It's OK to make a mistake once or maybe even twice, but anymore than might eventually be seen as disruptive or tendentious and could lead to an administrator being asked to intervene. Hi my friend. There are several user page that contains user's work like this. What do you say about this?  MrInfo2012  Talk  01:24, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

I didn't notice your question until just now, so apologize for not replying sooner. The files used on c:User:Heralder are freely licensed or public domain files uploaded to Wikimedia Commons; they are not non-free files uploaded to Wikipedia, which means their use isn't subject to Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. Not every file you see used on Wikipedia is licensed the same way. Freely licensed files or public domain files are not subject to the same requirements as non-free content. So, if you want to use files from Wikimedia Commons on your userpage, then you can.
The problem with the your edit here is that there's nothing to indicate that file is actually {{PD-Iran}}. Did you ask at WP:MCQ or c:COM:VPC for opinions on whether the can be converted to public domain, or did you just change the license so that it can be used on your userpage? Your edit also created a license conflict since their is still a non-free use rationale being provided for the file. Unless you can clearly demonstrate that this file is PD-Iran, the file should probably be licensed as non-free. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:33, 17 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
It would help if you could clarify at WP:MCQ#File:IRI.SNDU.svg why you feel this logo is WP:PD because the {{PD-Iran}} license you added doesn't seem to be correct. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:36, 25 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of 4U TV

Hello MrInfo2012. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Reza Abbaszadeh, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

It's interesting. You can't say why a news agency writes about someone who lives or works in another country. According to your reason, every agency should write about its country's people. Abbaszadeh is famous for his activities in various branches of business in Germany and the UAE.  MrInfo2012  Talk  11:12, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

So if the sources have problems, it would be better to use the Refimprove tag.  MrInfo2012  Talk  11:27, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Draft:Reza Abbaszadeh. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Sepah flags

edit

Hi, your contributions on Iranian logos had been always impressive. In case you are interested in new updates, I have a few favors:

  •   seems imaginary and no source is provided for it. Instead, this flag seems to be in use and an alternate version is also available here. Can you please correct that file with that flag?
  •  /  are both based on Artesh versions of ground force and navy but not are in official use actually. The naval flag of Sepah in use seems a plain blue flag with a yellow logo of Sepah and 'نیروی دریایی' under it ([1], [2], [3]) Would you do a favor and upload that naval flag on the wrong white version? It seems that armored units of Sepah use this insignia: [4], [5], [6] (but I found no indication that this is used by whole ground forces, which apparently the use plain flag [7], [8], [9]). It would be nice if you can design it.
  •   seems to be officially in use, there are pictures that confirm this: [10] [11] [12]. The only change I noticed is that in this flag gold colors are yellow, the light blue is a little darker and dark blue lines are a little lighter. Can you please update the colors?
  • This is the first logo attributed to the IRGC (designed in esfand 1357, before the IRGC was officially established) and this belongs to Mohammad Rasullolah Sepah of Tehran. Can you please design a copy?
  •   has an alternate version where the background is green. ([13], [14]). Can you please upload that?

Thanks, Pahlevun (talk) 17:52, 5 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Anoshirvan Taghavi

Hello, MrInfo2012,

Thank you for creating Anoshirvan Taghavi.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The sources included in the article all seem to be passing mentions of his name, with nothing in depth. This isn’t sufficient to support a biographical article.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mccapra}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

Hi, First of all, explain to me by giving evidence how you came to the conclusion that I had a conflict of interest in the articles I was defending. I have been editing and creating numerous articles in Persian and English Wikipedia for many years, and in many cases I have helped to improve the quality of articles. It is very important for me to know what was your reason for blocking my account. What do you mean off-wiki evidence? I'll appreciate you for explaining to me in full. MrInfo2012 Talk 18:28, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I have examined the available evidence and I believe that the reason for the block is valid. I also am not convinced that the articles mentioned below are your only paid edits, due to the same evidence. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 12:29, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

There is a policy against outing editors, so MER-C cannot necessarily tell you the evidence unless you agreed to waive your right to privacy; I am not asking you to do that, just informing you of the policy. 331dot (talk) 10:34, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Note: I haven't received any money for creating Saman Saffari article which you moved to draft.

In the future If I receive any money for creating or editing, I will disclose it clearly. In above instances, I didn't know disclosing procedures. You should know that my paid contributions are 1% of my contributions in these 10 years. I have evidence that many Instagram and Internet personalities who were willing to pay a lot of money asked me for a Wikipedia page, but I refused because their request was against Wikipedia's policies.  MrInfo2012  Talk  12:00, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I want to know based on which evidence you are deciding to decline my request. It's my right to know that evidence. Please tell me what articles are based on your judgment? Then I will tell you if I received any money from them.  MrInfo2012  Talk  12:46, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
      • You've already been caught lying once when you failed to disclose. UPE is a fundamentally dishonest practice that brings into doubt all of your edits. Why should we believe you are honest this time? For OPSEC reasons, I will not share with you the means with which you were caught. MER-C 12:51, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
I see no reason to lie about this. Once you have made this accusation against me and I have accepted it, there is no need to hide it. When I mention the above, why should I hide the other ones? I have accepted your reason and will accept to disclose all my paid editions from now on. If your reason is that my edits, such as adding an Instagram or IMDB account to articles, look like advertising, it's not because I got paid for them.  MrInfo2012  Talk  12:57, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
I have already told other administrators that I received many requests, most of which were actually promotional and contrary to Wikipedia's policies, and they paid a lot of money for it, but I refused. My main intention is not to create malicious articles. My question is why do you ignore my useful activities?  MrInfo2012  Talk  13:05, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
That you have turned down paid editing (which we cannot confirm) does not mean your other edits are not suspect. I don't really see a pathway forward here. 331dot (talk) 14:00, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
You said you had evidence that I edited the articles for money, now you say we can not confirm? What is the basis of your judgment? I should also mention that I was editing pages at the request of someone, such as adding an Instagram account, but I was not paid for it. I can provide you real evidence that I haven't receive any money. About Saman Saffari that MER-C put paid editing tag on it, I can prove that I haven't receive any money.  MrInfo2012  Talk  14:39, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

You cannot prove a negative; that you were not given money. As I said, I don't see a pathway forward here, so you are just wasting your time and our time by pursuing this. 331dot (talk) 15:06, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I do not like to take your time and my time any more, but I would like to get a logical answer from you. But imagine I was disclosing paid editions from the beginning. How did you want to prove that I did not disclose a series of articles? The basis of your judgment is not logical at all. I really want to see your degree and I am ready to violate my privacy in this regard because you are destroying my reputation.  MrInfo2012  Talk  16:09, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you had disclosed from the beginning, we wouldn't be here now. I have nothing else to add. You can make another unblock request for someone else to review, but I think the chances of success are low. 331dot (talk) 17:53, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I tell you, I'm ready to reveal all the edits I made. Why do you decide so hard? I have nothing to hide. I have even been accused of something I have no idea about. Do you want me to disclose articles that I did not receive for any fee? This case can be solved with much easier methods. I am even willing to inspect any editions in the future. But I want the problem to be solved.  MrInfo2012  Talk  18:05, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
