Hello and welcome to Wikipedia Mr, Lama.

List of flags

edit

Just wanted to say thanks for your recent addition on the United States article. You'll have to excuse some editors, they are some times too quick to delete the contributions of others when no sources are provided and they are within their rights. I would have waited a bit and given you a chance to do that. The list of flags and ethnic populations was a nice addition, but we need to provide the source. If you know the name of the publication and author all you have to do is list it after the list, like this:

<ref>AuthorName, Year, Title of work, p.123</ref>

There are other more specialized ways to list the source, but for now that would suffice. If the source is from a web page, make sure it is a relaiable source and simply include the Url address instead of the page number.

Once again, welcome! -- Gwillhickers (talk) 15:56, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Canada, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. You added Italian to the list of recognized official regional languages without adding anything to the article to support the claim. As far as I know, no official governmental business is performed in Italian in Canada. I could be wrong and a reference would settle that. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:14, 4 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mr. Lama,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Not Born to Be Gladiators, may be copied from http://www.israelfilmcenter.org/israeli-film-database/films/not-born-to-be-gladiators. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Italian Spiderman poster.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Italian Spiderman poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Read the criteria for List of films considered the worst. Multiple reliable sources must be provided which call a film "the worst" in order for it to be included. Also, do not change Titanic's 2012 entry. A reliable source describes its position as the lowest ranked film on IMDB bottom 100. IMDB lists are not reliable so you need a secondary source, like that one if you're going to use that list to get a film included, like you tried to do with your edit.LM2000 (talk) 03:17, 18 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Worst films

edit

Stop adding inadequate films to this list. There are advisory warnings all over the page not to add films without fulfilling the criteria and I explicitly told you what you were doing wrong in June. In order for a film to be added to this list, MULTIPLE RELIABLE SOURCES MUST CITE IT AS BEING AMONGST THE WORST EVER MADE. A few harsh reviews isn't enough. Even one critic calling it "the worst' isn't enough. You've got to have multiple legitimate critics describing it as being the bottom of the barrel.LM2000 (talk) 18:05, 31 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reliable Sources

edit

Hi, this edit is not in keeping with proper Wikipedia editing. Firstly, we don't source articles by hastily adding instructions in our edit summaries like "See IMDb". Sources should be added as inline citations. Please see Referencing for Beginners to learn how. Secondly, IMDb is not considered a reliable source because it is user contributed, as is TV Tropes, TV.com, and even Wikipedia. None of these are considered reliable sources. Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Alien 2 blu ray.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
