Martha Wilson edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia,

There is something wrong with the syntax but I don't have time to figure it out as I am very busy with work off Wikipedia. I will delve into it later, and will comment in more detail about the whole article later too. The main thing now is that you should emphasize reliable independent sources for anything controversial, as opposed to her own website. Also read WP:NPOV carefully. It's a good start for a new editor though. By the way, I've written a number of artist biographies myself. Take care. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 16:32, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Martha Wilson photo edit

Did Martha Wilson herself release this photo under a Creative Commons license? I notice that you uploaded the photo. Please explain the process you used to get permission to use the photo. Thanks. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 16:00, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

yes, concerning that i didnt know what type of license i should use was. she herself gave me permission after i emailed her to use any picture from her website. so i choose the picture she herself used for her website. i did try and find who the picture was taken by and have emailed her to ask who took it and to who it belongs, but as of yet havnt received an email back yet. --Mr.D.J.Brown (talk) 16:07, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

You can't do that for her. She must release the photo herself under a proper legal Creative Commons license, if she holds the copyright. If the photographer holds the copyright, that person must license it. Please remove the photo until this issue is resolved. I also found an apparent copyright violation from Stanford University in the first sentence. Please address this issue ASAP - it is a critical matter. Thank you for removing the photo. Let's centralize further discussion of Martha Wilson on the article's talk page so that it is accessible to all interested editors. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 16:34, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment.
