Hello, I'm Dl2000. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Lohit Sonowal, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dl2000 (talk) 13:08, 14 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

WP:ICONDECORATION

edit

Unless you have a rationale that supersedes both WP:ICONDECORATION and this discussion, which established consensus that ribbon icons should not be included in infoboxes, this edit of yours would be disruptive. Don't restore the ribbon without a local consensus to do so. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:41, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

You should also be aware that edits like this, where you add Lieutenant Colonel before the subject's name in the lede and infobox do not conform with WP:HONORIFIC, and thus, are incompatible with community editing preferences. I strongly recommend you get up to speed on WP:MOSBIO, because if you not editing in compliance with community standards, you run the risk of having your editing privileges interrupted, which would be unfortunate. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:49, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Navjot Singh Bal

edit

Hello Morholsantanu,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Navjot Singh Bal for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Navjot Singh Bal, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. SamHolt6 (talk) 11:43, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Morholsantanu! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.
