Speedy deletion nomination of User:Moonshine Sweet Tea/sandbox/Moonshine Sweet Tea edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Moonshine Sweet Tea/sandbox/Moonshine Sweet Tea, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. April 2016 edit

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:43, 5 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I understand that certain wording such as "we" and "our" are prohibited in copy on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, I did not read all of the several guidelines and materials when adding content to this page, and should have edited information from website more thoroughly. I copy/pasted from the website not thinking about some of the concerns and issues surrounding doing so. If unblocked, I will be taking the time in adding content more in line with an encyclopedia description and informative facts to help viewers. In addition, adding historical information about Moonshine Sweet Tea as it was founded in Austin, TX in 1946. Will also be adding facts about the tea flavors, site references, and many other helpful pieces. I will not be copy and pasting from the website as I did before. Big mistake. Please unblock the user Moonshine Sweet Tea so I can edit and resubmit for approval. Thank you!

Decline reason:

You need to suggest a different username, as explained in your block message. Additionally, you need to explain that you fully understand what you've been blocked for. Here are a few key questions: You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the three important principles above. Max Semenik (talk) 01:08, 6 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I understand why this page was blocked, due to conflict of interest being the "we" and "our" in copy, and I pasted this from the company website. As an employee, I will ensure that the tone is not that of an associated party. I will again state that not knowing all of the guidelines for Wiki, I copy/pasted information from the company website with the intention of editing once it was approved. In addition, once unblocked, I will be keeping the verbiage in line with that of a encyclopedia page to ensure it is not promotional in tone. I have looked over other tea beverage companies Wiki pages and intend to follow the setup they use, as it is informative and helpful to the viewer. Thank you!

Decline reason:

You need a different username, which does not in any way represent Moonshine Tea or the Moonshine Tea Beverage Company! (Hint: Try one which does not contain any of the words "Moonshine", "Sweet", "Tea", "Beverage" or "Company") Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:57, 6 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
