Hi, Monica, welcome to Wikipedia! Klortho (talk) 12:29, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Klortho,

Thanks!

Monica

Hi again, Monica, here is some feedback. Please remember, when leaving a response on a talk page (like this one) to indent your responses by putting a colon (":") in front of each line. You didn't do that above, so you can see that your response is not indented, and it's hard to see where my greeting ends and your response begins. Also, please remember to sign your posts (again, on talk page like this one) with four tildes (~~~~). You just signed your name "Monica", but that's not as good, because there might be thousands of Monicas on Wikipedia! Thanks! Klortho (talk) 03:46, 25 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Feedback on your greeting to Derrick

edit

Hi, Monica, I left some more feedback for you on Derrick's talk page. Klortho (talk) 03:52, 25 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for all of the helpful hints!

Hi, Monica. Sorry, one more helpful hint! I see in your reply here you used the ":" at the beginning of the line of your main response, but then, you signed with four tildes on a separate line, without a ":". If you look at the results, you'll see your signature is not indented. It's best to just sign with four tildes immediately after what you wrote, without starting a new line. If you do put your sig on a new line, then start it at the same "indent level" as the rest of the comment. Cheers! Klortho (talk) 12:46, 25 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks again! Maybe I'll get it all figured out one of these days :)!Monicamcoulter (talk) 14:36, 25 September 2012 (UTC)MonicaReply

Hi Monica

Hi there! Thanks for checking out my user page and for your comments! I see you live in the DC area - I grew up in Howard County, and my "US-based home" is in Ellicott City ;) I saw you work at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Bethesda! How do you like it? I checked out their Wikipedia page, and found out some cool information about the institute's history - you can check it out too with the link from this post!
