Derry

edit

No problem, it's a handy compromise that was worked out. Each side gets half of what they want. One Night In Hackney303 21:03, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

List of massacres

edit

Hi. I noticed this. Rather than reverting, which is a blunt instrument and which may raise tensions all round, why not take it to discussion next time? Per Help:reverting, reversion is only used for dealing with vandalism or vandal-like edits. The entry you restored currently does not meet the criteria we agreed; I left it in place when I did my big trim, as I thought it was borderline. So there is an interesting discussion to be had if you take it to Talk:List of massacres. Best wishes, --John (talk) 15:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

On reflection, and after discussion in talk, I have removed your addition again, as it does not seem to fit the criteria we agreed. If you disagree, it might be better to bring it up at Talk:Baghdad. --John (talk) 16:11, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sectarian attacks

edit

Hi, the reason you'd need a citation for the sectarian motive in the putative burning of Carton House is that it is a rather serious claim and the incident cited seems to indicate the reason was nationalist. However there were certainly verifiable sectarian attacks in some areas so if you find a reliable source I'll not dispute it. Sarah777 (talk) 22:46, 6 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

ACORN endorsements

edit

Please see the discussion at the talk page there.

Here's the story: Some time ago some editor added something like "ACORN sometimes endorses Democrats". At the time the only citation to this was the fact they endorsed Obama. User:Threepillars changed it to "ACORN sometimes encorses Dems, Republicans and Independents". I begged Threepillars to provide some citation for this fact; it was promised as forthcoming, but nothing has shown up yet. Today you changed it to "ACORN sometimes endorses Dems and Independents"... your edit comment suggested this related to what the citation said. That is not true, however, since there IS NOT any citation (other than that mentioned).

As requested on Talk:ACORN, we desperately, desperately need a CITATION for the actual fact, not just more editors changing it to what "sounds right to them." I don't care which claim it is, but whatever we characterize needs to be accompanied by evidence! All the best, LotLE×talk 04:34, 20 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

POV pushing edits

edit

If you see any POV pushing edits like this in the future, it may be LOTRrules (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) again, be sure to report it at WP:AN if you think it is them.--Otterathome (talk) 21:47, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Guitar hero

edit

I will admit the work "revolutionize" needs more sources for that to be used, but if you read through the Cultural impact of the Guitar Hero series (which was until recently part of the main article, but split for size purposes), it is clear that we can describe this as an impact on the music industry. --MASEM (t) 19:27, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
