File:Location of Egypt.png missing description details

edit
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 01:02, 13 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

FGM

edit

You might ask some of the major contributes to FGM what their opinion is. Look at FGM "View history" and leave a message on their talk page. I would suggest that you enable your email (via Preferences at the top of the page), if someone wants to say something private. When you enable your own email, an "Email this user" appears in the toolbox when you are on a user's page. You can send them email, but the sent email has your email as a return address. Another suggestion would be to contact anti-FGM groups for support. They probably would be helpful with suggestions, references, and maybe something that would help discredit that FGM is beneficial. Thanks for doing this! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 07:15, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Jim for your help! I will do that as soon as possible. I do remember finding an Egyptian anti-FGM support group that couldn't do anything on Wikipedia though back then. I'll see what I can do nevertheless. Thanks again! Mohamed 12:00, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Mohamed, I was just wondering if the text you mentioned on Talk:Female genital mutilation was still in the Arabic article. Thanks for pointing it out, by the way. SlimVirgin (talk) 20:15, 26 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

It is. I even tried adding info from the WHO's page on FGM to refute or at least propose a different point of view in the same section and my edit has just been reverted by a moderator, again. If you can help in anyway please do. Mohamed 14:20, 27 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Replied on my talk page. My apology for the slow response. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 16:16, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Location of Egypt.png

edit

The file File:Location of Egypt.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Superseded by File:EGY orthographic.svg

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 09:01, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
