It's late here so I'm off to bed. Glad to know I'm leaving wiki in good hands. Take care Funky Monkey 23:38, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Reply to your question.

Um, you were wondering why did I only ask you questions on your talk page for the elections? Well, the answer is: I want to vote for you, but you didn't talk about your thoughts on Esperanza. So, I decided to ask you questions. --Exir KamalabadiJoin Esperanza! 11:24, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Roadender

Hi, I thought you would like to know that I sent the above article to AfD. You had placed a speedy tag on it, which was promptly removed by the original contributor. I had previously prod'ed it, which was also removed. Since the prod tag had been removed I thought it would be best to go through AfD. If you wish to comment please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roadender. Thanks! Regards, Accurizer 14:06, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Masssiveego RFA requirements

Hello Masssiveego. I have come here to address you on your questions regarding RFA's. A couple of things...

1) These questions do not have to be answered withen 24 hours regardless if the user is on Wikipedia or not.

Nobody is forced to answer the questions. I automatically oppose regardless of qualifications if the user if they do not answer in 24 hours. I find it rude if an user refuses to answer in the time limit. WP:Civil. Masssiveego 18:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

2) These questions should be opinion questions like:

"What do you plan to do..."

type-questions, not right or wrong questions like

"Are copyright claims legal threats?"

The above question demonstrates knowledge in policy. Masssiveego 18:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

In conclusion, please give editors time to respond to your questions and ask more opinionated questions please. Moe ε 16:50, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Would like to give more time, manners dictate returning messages promptly. 24 hours is more then enough time for a user to notice, and respond. Opinionated questions rarely demonstrate what the user knows about policy. Masssiveego 18:30, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

It's a question do they know how to really use Wikipedia resources? If a person just once a day checks the "my watchlist"

when they login, they would have noticed something changed in the RFA. I test to see if they know, or have the ability to research. For instance, the [Mike Murdock] page, it was A7 without a hint of research. I want to bring up where I think the user is weakest, or wrong at, and either have the problem corrected or oppose if they are obviously incapable of handling the questions. Masssiveego 19:54, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for adding cleanup-date instead of my cleanups. I'll remember to use that tag next time. --Mboverload 23:31, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism from WoodDaver

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my pages from User:SlickJ, ajn apparent sockpuppet of User:WoodDaver. Sir Isaac Lime 23:32, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I reverted Dalip Singh to his real name

Since it hasn't been posted on WWE.com and SD! hasn't aired yet in the US (to keep to the Title Holder Standard). Wouldn't be simple to make the rule on spoilers to just post whats been posted on WWE.com for WWE and TNA.com for TNA etc. So we eliminate any USA POV from Wikipedia on Wrestling? My RfA

Many thanks for your support on my recent RfA. It was successful. Thanks again, Mark83 10:54, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for supporting me in my RfA. I really didn't think people appreciate my work here that much, but it's nice to see you do: my Request was closed with 66 supports and 4 opposes. I'll do my best not to turn your confidence down. If in any point in the future you get the feeling I'm doing something wrong, do not hesitate to drop me a line. --Dijxtra 11:56, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Jonathan Paul Taylor

I reverted this cricketer back to the name by which he was known as a player, which is Paul Taylor. Here's the reference [1] from the fount of rather a lot of the cricket wisdom in the Cricket Project pages, and Wisden Cricketers' Almanack agrees. Johnlp 21:21, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Lado Enclave

Hey Moe. You put a clean up note on Lado Enclave. I removed the guff and returned the page to basically what it was when I first created it. When I wrote the article about two years ago, little did i know that it would be a target of the WRITE IN CAPS POV loopers (if you haven't already checked out the Lad Enclave talk page history, that will give you a good idea). Please check out the page and see whether you feel the clean up note can be removed. Cheers. --Roisterer 14:05, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Templates Cleanup and Attention

I saw your proposed merger on the talk page of Template:Cleanup. I think thats a great suggestion. The attention template is sort of redundent to the cleanup template anyways. Another merge I am suggesting is Template:Cleanup and Template:Cleanup-date. Cleanup-date is much better IMHO because it categorizes it by month. What do think of that possible merge? Moe ε 01:20, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Well, some people use {{cleanup}} without adding the date, and ideally they should be able to continue to do so. It's a well-known tag, and easy for lazy but observant people to add. We do have a bot, Pearle, which converts all cleanup tags to cleanup-date tags, on a daily basis. If these templates were actually merged, we'd need the result to have an optional date parameter, which would make its wikicode somewhat complicated. (But I've done that with some other templates.) A merger would also make it a bit harder for Pearle to do the conversion. -- Beland 14:45, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Your edits

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Moe ε 17:08, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm just a lazy long-time editor (at some point I was in the top 1000 of editors...) It wasn't actually a test, I am seriously in doubt that Burroughs is gay. So I don't see why it was reverted... Or is it not done any more to leave comments in the article? In which case you had better moved it to the discussion page, in order to not put off newcomers...

Attention -> cleanup-date

Yup, attention is now merged with cleanup. Pearle is currently converting attention tags to cleanup-date, so there's no need to do that manually. (Except for tags which are located on talk pages, which she skips.) -- Beland 15:48, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Does Pearle replace it with the date it was actually tagged? Moe ε 15:52, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes. The history is examined month-by-month. -- Beland 15:55, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

The Miz

I know that The Miz is going to SmackDown!, but I feel putting him under inactive is incorrect since he is still wrestling down in OVW. If he had already debuted for the brand and hadn't been seen in a while, like Johnny Parisi, I could see him under inactive, but he hasn't made his debut yet and is still active in OVW, so I feel he should be moved back to the OVW roster. --JFred 06:00, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

And I see where your coming from. I guess we should have some kind of standard for this issue. I know others (Trinity and Angel Williams come to mind) have been moved up with no official mention of the move by WWE. I guess with the Miz's case, we can move him up because of the TV vignettes he's in for SmackDown!. So in this case I'll keep him under SD! Inactive. With anyone else, though, we shouldn't move them up until confirmed by WWE either on TV or on the website. --JFred 19:08, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Bob Orton, Jr.

Didn't Bob Orton, Jr. have a Legends contract that was seperate from his on-air contract? I had heard that the only contract he was released from was his on-air contract, not the Legends one. --JFred 22:21, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

But when he was released, the news wires were only saying it was from his on-air contract and that he was still under the Legends contract. And I'm figuring from the structure of the Legends contracts, Vince wouldn't want to terminate any of them. --JFred 22:35, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

Bruiser Brody

Eventhough the Legends contract was signed by his wife (since he's deceased), the contract is for Brody's name and likeness and whatever else is apart of those contracts. Also, eventhough a dead person cannot sign a contract, the controller of that person's estate, in this case his wife, can enter into a contract if a company wants to use that person's name and likeness, in this case WWE. --JFred 22:35, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

Actually, it's his estate that's under the contract, his wife just happens to control the estate. --JFred 22:59, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
I'll accept that wording. The important thing is that Bruiser Brody himself is mentioned. --JFred 23:05, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

A tiny favour.

Banwari Trace -> Banwari Trace, Trinidad and Tobago

I was wondering why you moved this article. As long as there is no other usage, why should the article be at the longer name? While this is the convention for American places, last I checked it wasn't the naming convention for articles. Guettarda 06:12, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

The shortest name is preferred, unless there is a different standard applied for a specific country. The American naming convention is an exception to the general rule, although it is by no means unique. Guettarda 22:00, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

I am unsure of what you mean by "meet Wikipedia standards". Yes, some things such as the upcoming PPV schedule can probably be removed but if anything I think the pages about other countries should be brought up to scratch with this article. If you need any help with this article drop me a line, I'm basically taking care of this page as best I can. Normy 11:09, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Moe, don't mean to keep on your back about this but is the upcoming PPVs section really needed? unregistered users keep adding it in but I don't feel it is nessacary seeing as the PPV dates are already listed elsewhere. Normy 00:01, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

RE: OVW roster

IT'S NOT VANDALISM. Do you even follow OVW? Da Beast is now going by his real name for two weeks now on OVW TV, Beast and Tytus are no longer teaming, same with Seth and Chet, Boris Kolov is now on OVW TV as Boris Alexiev, Venus is no longer around, so her and Serena are no longer a team, and I removed a bunch of other names because they haven't wrestled in OVW for a long while - including house shows. I also added those couple of names because they've been around a bit and have appeared on OVW TV. I monitor the OVW community over on LiveJournal, where house show and TV taping results are posted regularly, so if you don't agree with a change I make to the OVW roster, ask me before you blindly revert my changes. --JFred 23:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

WWE Alumni page

I noticed that you list Brian Adams as also being known as Adam Bomb. Actually, Bryan Clarke wrestled as Adam Bomb, and Brian Adams wrestled as Crush. --JFred 20:42, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Already made the changes for you, also added Aldo Montoya with Justin Credible for Peter Polaco. --JFred 21:04, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Just to let you know, Brian Lee was last known as Chainz in WWE and was part of DOA. This happened after he was the Evil Undertaker. I'd make the change, but I don't know when he was released after his stint as Chainz. --JFred 02:44, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Barbara Goodish

I don't think it's a good idea to add the linking ability to Barbara Goodish's name as it only invites people to create an article, of which she is not noteworthy enough for. We could, however, link her name to her husband's page. --JFred 20:48, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
