Hello, Mnwr.hsn. I read your conversation with User:Joe Decker, and it sounds to me like you may have some confusion between public domain and public information. News sources are not public domain, even though they are published - the authors retain the right to control who publishes them. Even public records of the government may be copyrighted - see Wikipedia:PD#Public_records.
I see that you wrote to OTRS about this matter, and they responded to your letter on May 8th. If you wish to continue to pursue releasing text that may have been used from your own scholarly journal article, please continue that conversation. In the meantime, I'm afraid we will have to remove it from Wikipedia. I do apologize for the complication, but since copyright is a legal matter we must follow these processes for the protection of Wikipedia and its reusers. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:33, 24 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
