Mmemorablemoments, you have done a great job developing this article. I am really impressed with how you created this article and developed it from the Child Poverty parent article. This article is very well-thought out and I think it is very well organized. You also have very reliable scholarly sources. I did not know that there were two measurements for child poverty, but the absolute and relative measuring values make sense. You did a great job explaining these and introducing them.

There are some changes that I would like to see. For one, you write that race and child poverty have a distinct correlation, but you only talk about child poverty in black communities. I think it would be worthwhile to discuss child poverty in asian, native American, or immigrant communities. I'm sure child poverty exists in these spheres and I think it would be better to be more inclusive of children from these backgrounds. I would also like to you see a reference to the Covid-19 pandemic and its effects on child poverty. The pandemic definitely increased child poverty rates in the United States, and Americans may feel those effects for a while. I think this is a very relevant topic that I believe is worth mentioning. I would also like for you to add illustrations to your article so that the readers can better visualize your topics.

I think the most important thing you could do to revise your article would be to source your article better. There are several sentences that make claims with no source attached to them. Not only could this lead to a plagiarism accusation, but it decreases the validity of your article. It is so important that you accurately source your article. Next, I think it is important that you add links to your article. I see no links to other articles from yours, which could greatly benefit the readability and accessibility of your page. I also see no links to this article from other articles. This is important for readers to access your article and see the great work you have done.

Overall, you have created a great article and some changes could turn it into an even better article. CatherineGCC (talk) 17:30, 26 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
