Archives for sources edit

A quick fyi: It's bad form to remove references. If the links are no longer working you can instead tag it, remove the link being sure to keep all available information about the link, or replace the link with an archived version such as those from https://archive.org/web/ . --Ronz (talk) 21:41, 25 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

In case it applies... edit

Hello, Mkpr. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Ronz (talk) 21:05, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I just wanted to make sure you are aware, as it looks like you have what I hope is a minor conflict of interest.
My edits of the article have nothing to do with this, as I only noted the possibility after I was finished with the round of editing. --Ronz (talk) 23:04, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
My concern came from the photo and how you came by it to upload. --Ronz (talk) 23:39, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've read your talk page and you definitely have trouble articulating yourself but I think I understand what you're saying or asking. The first time I was ever at Karyn Calabrese's store (and one of the only times since), I was picking up health food stuff for my mom in December. My mom always raved about this woman named Karyn who is 67 but looks 40 or something. Well she does. I was really curious about it when I went to pick the food up, and as I'm leaving, BEYONCÉ KNOWLES WALKED IN. It was unbelievable luck. I took a picture. I think only one of two taken, and tried to read more about why Beyoncé would go to Karyn. I couldn't find a lot about Karyn so I took what I could find and consolidated into a Wikipedia page. This is the whole point and beauty of Wikipedia. Mkpr (talk) 00:29, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the explanation.
So, care to work more on the article and learn your way around Wikipedia in the process? --Ronz (talk) 00:46, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

April 2014 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 2000 NBA draft may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • ] history to leave the NBA talent pool worse off than it had been before a [[rookie]] draft.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/10714672/nba-2013-14-rookie-class-worst-ever|

If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
