Color correction? edit

Regardless of your personal feelings about a page, do not remove requests for unprotection, and certainly do not put blatant lies in your edit summaries. That's equivalent to vandalism.--Scimitar parley 21:51, 1 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

My sincerest apologies, the blanking was a total accident, and I'm not sure how it happened. I never hit delete, so I have to assume it was a browser problem. As for blatant lies, there are none. My edit summary refers directly to the edit I made. And my personal feelings are irrelevant. I was merely linking to a bit of reformatting I had done on a protected page. Cheers, and Please remember WP:AGF. Mistercow 21:56, 1 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • Did you have an edit conflict by any chance? I just rechecked your edit, and what happened was you somehow deleted the earlier request while posting your comment (I only noticed the blanking, as I was reading it and when I came back it was gone). Sorry for jumping on you; I'm sure it was an accident. All the best. --Scimitar parley 22:00, 1 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
    • That's probably it. I checked the preview a few times to fix my link, and I must have missed the warning. I'll be more careful in the future. Mistercow 22:04, 1 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

User:Smacksoftruth on WP:WQA edit

Thanks for bringing the problem to the attention of WP:WQA, Mistercow. I have reviewed some of the edits made by Smacksoftruth and I have determined that the ones I looked at seemed to be done with a bit of POV slant. I left a {{NPOV user}} message on this user's talk page, and if he/she continues to make POV edits, please contact me on my talk page and I will try to convince the user to discuss potential changes before making edits and before the problem gets out of control. Gnostic Movement edit

I have some overall concerns about this article. Primarily the notablity of the subject matter. There are very few links from other sites to the external references, and often the primary links are only to each other. I am eliciting comments since you have edited on this page. See my comments on the talk page. Trödel 23:01, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:Hongxiuquan.jpg edit

Hello Mistercow, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Hongxiuquan.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Mistercow/Jesus format. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 12:35, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

threaded code edit

The edit you recently made to threaded code was usually true, in isolation. Alas, I reverted that edit. I hope that Talk:Threaded_code#some_redundancies_cannot_be_eliminated_by_subroutines explains why. --68.0.124.33 (talk) 01:15, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:07, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
