Proposed deletion of Peter g ray edit

The article Peter g ray has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I42 (talk) 17:42, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Peter G. Ray edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Peter G. Ray, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Peter G. Ray and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ty 17:18, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You removed the tag from the article. It has been replaced. Please note the instruction on it in bold: "do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself". Ty 19:11, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Help re Peter G. Ray edit

In response to your comment on Fastily's talk page:

1) Create a workshop/sandbox page to develop the article, such as has been done: User:Miracolixxx/Peter G. Ray.

2) Find reliable sources such as those in a news.google.com or books.google.com that discuss Ray and his work. (note that the archives of news.google.com are generally acceptable, but the sites identified as (blogs) are generally not. Use citations to show where the content comes from.

3) When you have muliple reliable third party sources that verify the content of the article, and feel that the content is presented in an encyclopedic and neutral point of view, request a couple of editors to take a quick look and give you feedback.

4) Address any concerns they may have. (repeat step 3 if necessary)

5) Request that your draft be moved from user space to article space.

6) Be aware that others will edit and change the article.

Hope that helps! Active Banana (talk) 18:59, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
