Elmer Jamias

edit

Hello, Miracle223, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the draft you created at User:Miracle223/sandbox is about Elmer Jamias, someone Wikipedia already has an article about. I also noticed that some of the draft text is similar or identical to a previous version of the Elmer Jamias article which I know was provided to another Wikipedia user (who is another employee of the Philippine National Police) by Mr. Jamias himself. If you were also provided with text to be used to modify the Elmer Jamias article by either Mr. Jamias or someone acting on his behalf, and/or you are an employee of the Philippine National Police, you will need to read and comply with both Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy* and Wikipedia's paid-editing policy. If you do not comply with these policies, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Now that that's out of the way, you should know that Wikipedia has a strict policy regarding biographies of living persons. Under this policy, any information in such biographical articles that is not cited to a reliable source must be removed. This applies whether the unsourced information is positive or negative.

I know I just threw a lot of rules at you, and that that can be overwhelming for a new editor. Please feel free to visit the Teahouse, a friendly place to get answers to questions about editing Wikipedia. You can also ask me on this page (just include [[User:GrammarFascist|GrammarFascist]] in your response and sign your name with four tildes ~~~~ instead of typing out your own username; the tildes are converted into your signature with timestamp automatically) or on my talk page (click the small green "talk" after my username below), about your draft, anything else I've brought up, or any other questions you may have about editing Wikipedia.

* All the phrases in bold (but not bold italics) above are links you can click to visit the relevant pages.

Again, welcome! —GrammarFascist contribstalk 03:29, 24 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
