Under construction

edit

Hi! I noticed you added the following content to the Nicolas Schöffer:

<div style="border: 1px solid #484898; background: grey; background-color:grey; padding: 1ex 1ex 1ex 1.5ex; margin: 0px 0px 1em 1em; font-size: 100%">☡ This Article is Under Construction !! [[Template:Article under Construction|Learn more]]</div>}}

Would you tell me why you did this? To be clearer, I am investigating what is the cause for an editor adding that as opposed to adding the Template:Under construction. twsabin 19:35, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for correcting! I was searching for the right template. I'm usually working in the Hungarian and German Wikipedia and could not find this one. I'm still a bit lost here because everything is a bit different. Could you please add the right template? The thing is that the Schöffer article gave little information. I have already written about Schöffer several times and know his atelier in Paris and the museum in Kalocsa as well. I would like to rework the article but it is going to take time even if I'm versed in the topic. Mirabella (talk) 19:50, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the reply! I will add the template. The copy-pasted code was not a template. The page that suggested this idea is not a useful one, unfortunately, as it fails to transmit good practices to other editors. I will alert other editors about the page containing this bad advice, so that it may be deleted or made less visible. Regards twsabin 20:16, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I think, at the moment the template 'in use' is sufficient. I try to leave the article today so that it is at an acceptable level or at least more informative than previously. Later I am going to add the necessary references. Mirabella (talk) 20:30, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I changed the template. There is still a lot of work to do but tomorrow I'll be travelling. I would be grateful if someone would care to correct grammatical mistakes and similar problems. I am tired at the moment to see my mistakes. You can leave or remove the template as you consider it best. Thank you for your attention and help! Mirabella (talk) 22:11, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries

edit

There's no need to type ~~~~ in edit summaries. Summaries are always next to your username, when seen in the history, so they wouldn't need to be signed, and the four tildes don't convert to a signature. Sincerely, twsabin 23:04, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! You are right, I never checked whether they convert to a signature. I conscientiously sign everything I do :-) Mirabella (talk) 04:35, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
